As Fox News hosted the first full debate between the "top-tier" candidates of the Republican presidential candidates on Thurs. night, Sen. Bernie Sanders took in the show with an active social media hashtag to offer his reflections on the GOP discussion.

Is Bernie siding with Obama or Netanyahu?

Genius! for Bernie Sanders to comment via Twitter thruout the debate.

THIS is how to get Third-party and Independent Candidates, who are routinely EXCLUDED from such Public Debates - how to NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THEM from getting into the debates! Because of the Revolution in Social Media!
It's a NEW BALL GAME, and the powers-that-be won't be able to CENSOR third-parties if, like Bernie Sanders, they have any credibility and followings! From now on, ALL debates should be different - especially if other Third Parties like the Greens, etc., are smart enuf to catch on to what Bernie is doing here, and are able to bring it off themselves...

"According to Twitter, the hashtag #DebateWithBernie was used 56,748 times and @BernieSanders was mentioned 59,935 times during the debate."

GO Bernie.

There’s no doubt that Bernie is a breath of fresh air. Twitter allowed to peek through the window, but substance is what’s going to set him apart from the rest.

Is he going to side with peace or with the warmongers on the Iran deal? I haven’t heard his position on the matter yet! Have you?

What do you think of a Sanders/Biden ticket? Romantic enough, but geographically unrealistic!!!

Yep, Bernie's my man! Too bad that I dare not put a Sanders 2016 bumper sticker on my car, at least for now.

I'm all for a Sanders/Warren ticket myself.

So behind Bernie. But mainstream media needs to give equal time to Bernie and the rest of the Dem runners and stop their biased coverage of Hillary as if she's the only one running.... and stop predicting, as if it's a foregone conclusion, she'll win. Bernie is running his campaign brilliantly and as BMutiny said, using social media is an excellent way to side step a biased MSM and raise the bar for Independents and 3rd party candidates.
Thanks Carrie.

At least in the UK, we had a cross-party debate, where the blokes looked like clones of each other, and the women came out stronger, and against austerity.
