The father of the Palestinian 18-month-old baby boy who died in last week's settler arson attack in the occupied West Bank has also died from his wounds. Saad Dawabsheh, the father of Ali, died early on Saturday, his brother told Al Jazeera.

Noted all, Carrie. This is very sad. Who would have the will or want to live after being so horribly burned? This dad is now with his baby son and both are free of pain.

Well I hope those who did this horrid act to this family are satisfied with themselves. Is this what their God is now telling them to do. Is their God proud of them? I don't know how some people can live with themselves.

Even if the Mother and the child lives, terrible what they still must endure, disfigurement, loss of spouse, loss of a child and who knows what all medical needs they will require in future if they do live. Article said they didn't expect her to make it, so if she dies leaves the child alone, in pain, and disfigured.

Horrible what people do to each other. If this is what their religion teaches then I'm glad I'm not religious.

Settler attacks on Palestinians have become more frequent and more violent in recent years because they enjoy impunity. The Israeli government now does its obligatory ritual dance and will continue to do so as long as members of this family (or the next) are dying as a result of such attacks, but this response is without meaning and nothing will change for the better for the Palestinians. As long as the (military) police and the (military) courts are instructed to look the other way, Palestinians are at the mercy of settlers who want them out.
"A recent report by Yesh Din, an Israeli human rights organisation, showed that more than 92.6 percent of complaints Palestinians lodge with the Israeli police go without charges being filed."

This is so abysmal, I find all words insufficient, such a heinous crime.

It reminded me of the KKK...

Thank you for sharing, Carrie.
End the occupation of Palestine. Stop the settlements!

I would not call them people! Sub human beings whose vision of life has nothing to do with living. The welfare of humans who are not following their obscene bidding and obscured perspective are annihilated. Religion as an excuse to broaden the most violent part of the human brain...no serotonin there! Can't we send in some kool-aid?
" A frustrated three year old will have a difficult time modulating the reactive, brainstem-mediated state of arousal — he will scream, kick, bite, throw and hit. However, the older child when frustrated may feel like kicking, biting and spitting, but has the capacity to modulate those urges. Loss of cortical function through any variety of pathological process (e.g., stroke, dementia, head injury, alcohol intoxication) results in regression — simply, a loss of cortical modulation of arousal, impulsivity, motor hyperactivity, and aggressivity — all mediated by lower portions of the central nervous system (brainstem, midbrain). Deprivation of key developmental experiences (which leads to underdevelopment of cortical, sub-cortical and limbic areas) will necessarily result in persistence of primitive, immature behavioral reactivity, and, thereby, predispose an individual to violent behavior. Looking for a post, from last year, maybe, to counter/detract from this one, and put Islam on trial...?

Nothing justifies such cruelty, anywhere, by anyone!

This is very sad. However, we are not fully responsible for what is happening, even though we pay taxes and have paid taxes for 30 plus years that have paid for Israelis education etc. AND, our secret service had/has protected Israeli leaders for years...maybe no more but they used to. THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE USA. THE PROBLEM IS PARTIALLY RELIGION WHICH HAS KILLED AND MAIMED CHILDREN,WOMEN AND MEN FOR CENTURIES. THE WOMEN I KNOW THAT ARE RELIGIOUS FROM TEXAS, CALIFORNIA, SEATTLE/TEXAS AND OTHERS WERE THE MOST SPOILED BIGOT WHITE AND MINORITY RACE WOMEN IN AMERICA...THEY BELIEVED ANY STORY THE INTEL OR ETC COMMUNITY HAD TO TELL THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE LIBERAL AND PIG PRIGS. SORRY TO SAY I WISH MYSELF TO LIVE LONGER THAN THOSE LIAR WOMEN AND THEIR RELIGIONS. I HOPE ALL RELIGIOUS WHORES GO TO HADES. HOW MANY AMERICAN NOT ILLEGAL CHILDREN DIE AND ARE KILLED IN OUR COUNTRY NOT JUST BY POLICE BUT BUT BY FANATIC LIBERAL RELIGIONISTS. GET REAL CARE AND AMERICA AND STOP MAKING ALL INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE LOOK LIKE WE REALLY ARE ALSO.
