Their obsession with breeding, preserving white culture, and biological determinism could be out of 1950s Alabama. Except it's 2016 in Portland~one of the most liberal cities in a country where diversity has spread exponentially along every axis:

"The dozen or so participants were all white, all male but one, and from the late teens to early 30s."
Yes, such racists have been encourage by DT's style to crawl out of the woodwork and act out their intolerance of those who are different from them. (as the article says: "But once some bigotry is legitimized, every vile belief pours out."
And relatively small groups of them have been brought together in places all across the US. I hope someone is keeping tabs, so when it becomes less "acceptable" to spew, they'll still be recognised - because they are dangerous. Especially those who (not surprisingly) see their strategies in sexual terms ...

Gupta's concluding para says what so many of us fear:
"It’s hyperbole to say there would be a Kristallnacht around every corner under Trump, but he would unleash the sinister elements of America’s id that are now taking shape across the country."

Thanks, Carrie.
Unfortunately, few of this who should be aware of this will read the article :>(

Donald Trump represents a narcissistic, megalomaniac, egoistic, racist, homophobic sexist, and xenophobic style of destructive, and diseased politics that is bad news for America and the rest of the world.

There are a lot infected with the same disease. If they win, the rest of America and the world loses.

Thanks, Carrie, and thank you, Evelyn, for telling me about Carrie's posting.

I live in Arizona where it is not just angered youth who cannot find or worry about not finding jobs, not just discouraged or destructive luddites. Here we have little old ladies who think we should shoot the homeless and many just plain haters.....grown haters and they have identified with Trump, including one Asian immigrant who is 70 years old.

...But claiming it’s all in jest is dubious when the 2016 election is occurring in a crucible of domestic terrorism, gun culture, Islamophobia, mass deportations, and Black Lives Matter.
The danger is if Trump becomes president. His policies and temperament would almost certainly roil the international economy and American society. He would rule like he Tweets, insulting, attacking, instigating one crisis after another to deflect from his mismanagement and shift the blame onto others...
TY for posting, Carrie

These neo-nazis are not very different from those in Europe and Russia, with the possible exception that this specific group consists of students - well, some of them are, others just tag along, drawn to this group by social media - and they identify strongly with a man that is the presumptive Republican candidate for a position of leadership of the "Free World". Neo-nazis in Europe can only look back on "idols" from a distant past like Hitler, Franco and Mussolini. But these white males have a living, breathing and hate spewing "leader" right in their doorstep.

These so-called students (only on campus because their wealthy parents send them there) can get away with their fascist talk and demonstrations because the Republican party and their spawn have been paving their way for decades, claiming Freedom of Speech for white males only and deflecting attention away from them. "Even if they are fond of talking about guns, death squads, and murdering leftists, they are not the typical ethnicity, religion or politics the feds are prone to investigate." That is the really scary thing about Drumpf's shock troops: they are his supporters and if he becomes president they will demand that he listens to them and keeps his promises. If not, they will take the matter in their own hands.

Trump running for candidacy is a joke, how can this really be happening? The things he says are so offensive and wrong.
