A modern commentary on how First Nations People have lost their sense of sovereignty through the systemic & continued colonization of their spirits & lands.

"Free" explores the influence of religion on Indigenous culture and the subsequent loss of traditional knowledge.

"Free" encourages us all to think deeply, investigate issues, be informed, free-thinking & responsible citizens of the world.

Thanks for the video Animae .I have had several indigenous people marry into my extended family since early settlement and I am classed as a brother. We don't need songs and ranting by radicals to drive divisions between us. We share and learn of each others cultures and beliefs, respect them and stay united as one people.Indigenous people are not classed as second class citizens here as in America. They play a prominent part on society .They serve in all professions and in parliaments and as state governors.Thirty three have been members of parliament ,thirteen of these being women. Damien miller has been ambassador to Denmark. Warren Mundine has been the national president of the ALP.,He also founded the Indigenous chamber of commerce. The land that is the core of their hearts is the core of all our hearts.

Much respect to you Walter, i'm so glad to hear that relations in your family are good & happy.

But i don't feel David Spry is a radical & he certainly isn't driving divisions, he's making Australians aware of the divisions already present.
It sounds like you're not aware of the racism & hatred our Indigenous people face continually.

Currently in the news -
How many years did it take for the AFL to apologise to Adam Goodes for ignoring the racism he faced which was the cause of his early retirement?
And the apology only comes now after the release of 2 documentaries about the racist ordeal which hurt him deeply.

‘How could we let that happen': director discusses Goodes documentary!

I'm well aware of the racism .I was well aware when I joined Charlie Perkins in the 1967 freedom ride. What happened with Adam when a young girl called him an ape and he stopped playing to rebuke her and some of the crowd booed him. That hurt him deeply. The rest followed from that .I was in the crowd when Kevin Rudd apologised for all the past wrongs inflicted the aborigine people and shed a tear with some of the women.I.m well aware.

i'm glad you're aware Walter but sadly many are not, it pains deeply me to see the ugly racism still prevalent in our societies, hence why i post music from Indigenous artists from time to time.

i can still shed a tear watching PM Rudd make that speech, he very much deserved the Queen's Companion of the Order (AC) award recently!

Sense of sovereignty? The mother earth is the one that gives, we are not their owners, It is precisely the opposite! The concept of sovereignty, land ownership has led to the catastrophe in which we are...It is sad that people do not understand that nature does not depend on us, WE DEPEND ON THE EARTH

Indigenous women and young girls "disappear" in Manitoba for example, all the time, only to be found dead in the bush somewhere. Reports of "wrongdoings" by the RCMP later surface in the news after desperate attempts to cover up the truth!
I'm sure repression of the Indigenous peoples, women, children and men in Australia is exactly the same.

I forgot to say that First Nations peoples are still fighting for their sovereignty, their land rights and the right to express their cultural heritage as any other being! To any Indigenous person, you are only a "human being" if you respect Mother Earth, Father Sky and all Our Relations!

Yup it's the same here Rosemary, jails, are filled with Indigenous people, they are blamed, abused, repressed & slaughtered AND the law often protects the white perps!!!
In the N.T. the incarceration & abuse of First Nation children continues even though we had a royal commission!!
i am sick to death of it... & i'm pure white!

i back our First Nations 100% ✊🏻 ✊🏼 ✊🏽 ✊🏾 ✊🏿
