Help stop the only two new nuclear plants in line for construction. Georgia's double-reactor Vogtle project has been sold thanks to federal loan guarantees. Even though President Obama wants to lavish $8.33 billion in financing on Southern Company...

Thanks, Nancy, gladly signed and shared. PLUTONIUM IS FOREVER and there's no way we can afford it, either in terms of financial or health and environmental costs!

The science is right before our eyes, yet some refuse to see it, and Big Business doesn't care.

Thank you Nancy. One can only hope it will not take a devastating meltdown here before our nations shut down the entire nuclear industry. There is no way to put the genie back in the bottle once it has escaped.
Fukushima is off the mainline news now but just do a search on-line to see the on going disaster in Japan.

Without nuclear power, this nation and most nations around the world will have no choice but to continue using fossil fuels to produce energy in order to meet the public's out of control energy consumption. Nuclear is the only alternative energy source that can meet the demand. We need much more research, much stricter regulations with harsh penalties to ensure a new, vastly safer generation of reactors can come online in the future. Otherwise, climate change WILL kill us all. That is not hyperbole nor is it speculation. Think about the future because the future is NOW.

We need clean energy, but not this kind. This is something that is way too dangerous as we've seen multiple times and it produces such toxic waste that we will have for thousands upon thousands of years. We have other methods of producing clean energy. THOSE are the ones that should be funded.
