At any moment, a big-game hunting corporation could sign a deal which would force up to 48,000 members of Africa's famous Maasai tribe from their land to make way for wealthy Middle Eastern kings and princes to hunt lions and leopards.

The Saudi oil nobles enjoy finding new and different ways to steal people's land and ruin the environment, very much like their North American counterparts. Signed and shared, thanks, Nancy.

noted and have already signed- this is very distressing- I hope the petition works- if they evict the Masai, it will be a heinous crime against this tribe albeit not the first.

If it's not roads, then it's luxury hotels or hunting concessions. It won't stop until the Serengeti becomes a memory. Human greed, the worlds costliest commodity.

Tanzania is one of Africa's poorest countries. They're holding the Serengeti HOSTAGE--I'll bet they'd be happy to stop the sale IF the rest of the world gave monetary aid!

The Serengeti belongs to the world--not to any peoples!

It is infuriating that those greedy for money (and power) would sell the serengeti out from under the Maasai tribe, who know no other home or way of life.

This is wrong on so many levels I wouldn't even
know where to begin. So I 'll just end by hoping
these bored desert billionaires get eaten by whatever
they're hunting w/ the leftovers going to the Masai
who can then sell their parts to the Chinese as herbal
sexual enhancement aids.
