Couldn't get through to sign - though I know I have signed a couple already. I put the petition title in my search bar and found the Change.org one but it can't be that as that has closed with 104,000 plus signatures. Who was it with Nancy? Maybe we can get through to it through putting the info in our search bars?

Noted. I was another one who couldn't sign this Nancy, but I HAVE signed a petition for this before. Actually, I have just seen Pat's comment and I DO hope it is NOT the same one that might have closed!

Dear Nancy I couldn't sign this off as my postal code is not a recognised one (I do not live in the US or Canada). It's a pity this is often a stumbling block. I hope the petition is successful.

According to the petition, "Walmart could have prevented this tragedy if they’d supported a plan to upgrade fire safety at Bangladeshi factories. Instead, Walmart blocked the plan, claiming costs would be too high."

Walmart saved a few bucks, and it cost people their lives. It's time for Walmart to pay up!

Signed and noted.

Most definitely noted, signed, twittered and google shared. This was a horrific tragedy that Walmart needs to face up to and I think they should have to pay out of their asses to every single person who was affected by this. I cannot believe the supervisors would not allow the workers to leave their stations. They too, should be penalized, that is, if any of them made it out alive. In fact, especially if they made it out alive. This makes me furious! Thank you Nancy.

The exits were locked during the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire too, and that was in 1911. You'd think Walmart would have learned from that tragedy, but I suppose with regulations being more lax in India, they thought criminal negligence was worth the risk. Signed and shared, thank you.

As I said in November, that fire was soo reminiscent of the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Fire that took place in NYC, in the 1920's or "30's!

Exploitation of the poor continues unabated by large, greedy corps. Thought that "sweatshops" were something of the past. The profit margins on retail is so huge & these poor slaves toil in appalling conditions & get a pittance to keep body & soul together.SHAME ON YOU WALMART!!
