Even more chilling than watching the violence in Iraq is listening to the pundits here at home. The very same men and women who lied to the American public and sent thousands of my fellow men and women in uniform to their deaths are now leading the charge

Signed via email (along with a couple of other ones), noted; thanks for posting Nancy--this addresses a mistake we should not let our leaders repeat.

War is the inevitable result of a two party system that only allows capitalist parties enriched by corporations, populated by corporate vetted candidates, and that exist solely to advance the corporate agenda. If we want to monkey wrench the military industrial complex, then we had all better start voting for progressive alternatives to the two party sham. Noted. Thanks.

Noted & signed.TY, Nancy. Not in the best interests of the American PEOPLE; but the war profiteering corporations, particularly Big Oil & arms dealers, may want to sacrifice our most promising youth to protecting their cash cow. What if we all chant "Hell, no! We won't go!"? Then if more of our best & brightest are called to die over there for nothing, let them send their own sons & daughters to be maimed, raped & slaughtered.

Many GOP elected officials seem to want the military option more than the negotiated option. I guess giving the business to the war profiteers is more important than our men and women in the military. It is one thing to be tough sounding it is another to be prudent.
Some my have forgotten that the Iraqi political leaders did not want our military in Iraq. Some may have forgotten that we warned those same leaders to open the govt. to Sunnis. Now we know that the leadership in that country is corrupt and oppressive.
Why should one more American die in that country?

I can think of a very effective way to defeat ISIS diplomatically. The really good aspects to it are that it would not involve foreign intervention in Iraq, and that it might not trigger more than one genocide, and probably not more than two. Anybody interested?
