Climate change and energy dominate 2014's most important environmental stories. It is nice seeing positive environmental changes that will improve our world's future.

Thanks for this Nancy - reading through this list of some triumphs and a few sad stories, but very worth reading (surely I cannot be alone in thinking that in California's fourth year of drought to use many hundreds of millions of gallons of precious water on fracking is quite, quite insane?), I saw a link at the bottom to another article there 'Despite Ban, Monsanto and Bayer GM Crops Contaminate Europe'.... also very worth reading.

So much happened this year and these issues are ongoing. I keep wondering when we are going to wise up. Thank you dear Nancy!

Thanks, Nancy, for posting this important story! Hoping for more of those positive developments in 2015. Like Desanka, I wonder when we are going to start acting collectively smart about the environment.

Important information. I do hope that we continue seeing positive efforts in all ways for our planet. Each one of us can and do play important roles in these efforts. Thanks Nancy

Noted. We will see change when the corporations that try their best to act as emperors in this world start putting the host's health ahead of maximum short term profit. By then it may be too little too late. We still have to try though. That's our karma.

The Oil spills are one of the biggest issues to sort out, before our oceans become completely contaminated and uninhabitable.
