This month, we are bringing you a celebration of our collective culture and the revolutionary history that has been blacked out from our textbooks.

We really, really do need a DRASTIC REVISION of how History is taught. Until THAT happens, teaching Black and Latino History as a separate subject, is ESSENTIAL.

Hey, are you a bunch of nonconformist, anti-government rebels!! What's going on here? It's very clear that you must be part of that dratted "Political Revolution". You no doubt plan to vote for that Commie-Pinko, Democratic Socialist, Bernie. You probably believe all that climate change crap and that your food, air and water is purposely being tainted by the 1%---and that they're responsible for keeping the truth about the ongoing genocide of the American Indian---as well as the pure, untarnished truth about their history---out of the school books. You know, the "proper" books that teach kids, including the American Indian kids, that Columbus discovered America---and warp much of the truth about African-American and Chinese-American history. Hell, just about all history gets the ruling class spin. How did you kids survive that spinning cycle and develop the chutzpa to expose and spread the unvarnished truth around? Well, I'm proud of 'ya!!

Yes the balance needs to be re-dressed, mostly on the side of the indigenous people who barely ever get mentioned in history or in the now...Black culture is 'out' and loud, but the native people are always overlooked and hard done by. Please give them a bigger place in these types of forums.

Sigh. Took years to start getting a "corrected" history in many schools and now we are rolling back the carpet again and covering up the truth.

I guess they forget that the "truth" will set you free. Or maybe they do remember.....and well when they think of American Freedom, that freedom isn't inclusive.
