If you're over 50 in the UK, you have been defined as sick and in need of a drugs. To this end, the polypill, which contains four drugs, is currently being tested. Within a couple of years, it's expected that people will either ...

This drug isn't for people who are 'sick' ("If you're over 50 in the UK, you have been defined as sick.....")

It's a preventive to try and avoid medical conditions - and certain medical conditions are indeed associated with age.

So the government in GB wants to do a favor for people over 50?

Mandatory?

With Chemicals?

By a decision that everyone over 50 is sick by law?

Lindsey, maybe not your greatest day - perhaps you should go to UK and get your daily pill.
I am only curious, on which side you stand.
Are you one of us or are you one of the corporations.

What's 'mandatory' about this, Ralph? Nothing that I saw reported in the article.

And Parsiafal? I 'stand' with anyone who has reason and science on their side.

Then it about time to ask whom science serves.
We The People or certain corporations having a Globalisation agenda.
New World order is just one of the names for their eil doing. Did you become part of all this Lindsey?

Science serves no one, Carl Gustav. It is a field of study and a method of explaining what is. And scientists who rigorously and honestly follow the dictates of the scientific method serve the cause of expansion of human knowledge.

Those who promote pseudoscience and distort and falsify findings serve a variety of political, religious, or personal agendas. And promote irrationality.

And, no - I am not pro-globalization. I'm libertarian and prefer any form of government to be a small as is practically possible (one of the many reasons I would prefer to see the U.S. get out of the United Nations).

What non-sense assuming that people over 50 are sick. Pharmaceutical companies do the research (hurting animals in the process), then make medications that create conditions, additional diseases and other various side-effects (thus hurting people), and then there is a need for more and more medications to introduce to treat the illnesses and conditions that they've created in the first place. So, back to more research, creating a whole new set of conditions and diseases, and so on. It's a vicious circle system, created for money-making. The pharmaceuticals prosper, the ordinary people suffer. Naturally, they will be strongly opposed to natural healing and health - it would put them all out of jobs.

If a proper diet is followed, then the body is made up to fix all those aches/pain naturally. Having said this it would be an added bonus to our health if our food was not being poisoned slowly & by radiation as our food is stripped of all proper nutrients that our bodies need to maintain a good immune system. I say stay away from all drugs, they will kill you faster then anything regardless of how aged one is. This is a big money making for those pushing pills for anything/everything that ail's you. Thanks Ralph.
