This mans life should have been spared as the attempt to take his life by lethal injection did not work he should not have had to go through all that pain and suffering for all that time In my opion he should have been jailed for life.
I know there was a victim but who gives us the right to take someones life GOD didn't. I know it says in the Bible a life for a life but who wrote the Bible MAN did It didn't come from God or Jesus.

I still think "peinede mort" (death execution ?) is an abomination and is not dissuasive.
Criminals shoud have a punishment adapted even if this punishment is hard and heavy.

this man did not care about the civil rights of the person he killed or how much pain he caused so why worry about what he had to go thru he got to live 20 years longer than the poor victem that he put to death
hes not the victem ,the one he killed was

Society should be held to a higher standard than the murderer they and you (michael) believe deserve execution. We have laws against cruel and unusual punishment for a reason, the point of our laws is to remove the threat to society, not revenge. If 'the state' is just another murderer then they should not be in power.

If there are going to be executions of any kind in this country it needs to be as humane as possible. If not for the family at least for the poor souls who have to preform these acts.

It's very sad that this happened, I'm glad to hear that Clark left a message for his young "brothers and sisters" about the dangers of doing drugs, and that he expressed remorse for his crime.

This was not a "botched" execution, however. The unavoidable delay was due to Clark's own abuse of his own body. If it were botched, he'd still be alive.

Let's not forget Clark's own words, quoting Dr. King, he said "Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty, I am free at last". I think we should respect his own sense of release and leave the lawsuits out of it.

For me, it's not a case upon which a viable challenge of the death penalty is built.
