I'm a Veggie...but any meat eating horse lover would surely be horrified to not only learn this but to have consumed it...unacceptable.

OH YUCK Why to they rely on people telling them the truth and not test this before they sell it and do continuous random tests. Well GO Vegan but you have to be very careful

Since I cook everything at home and never buy anything with meat in the store. I hope I never get anything this disgusting. All my purchases are vegan so they should be all right, I do hope. Funny, I remember when I first read about the cruelty in slaughterhouses and how the poor animals are raised so abusively, it was the day we were celebrating, and I had purchased these expensive Rib eye or club steaks, anyway I made the dinner sat down and took one bite of the steak and threw up. To say my husband was disturbed over it is putting it very mildly, but that was it for me and steaks, took awhile but I got off all chicken and other soon after.

Despite the fact it's Aldi's in Europe I am creeped out. The Aldis' here is too far from our apartment. But I shop at Traders Joe's. Aldi's and Trader Joe's are owned by the same company.

Unacceptable and heads will roll (we should not have been caught) we just didn't know (wink, wink). I guess iAldi and other thought it was to much to ask that products be randomly tested at the supplier's factory BEFORE they are shipped and/or placed on the shelves, especially since the horse meat thing has been going on for years. Is anyone following the money or is this business as usual in Europe? Is any body checking here in the States or have all government food inspectors been fired since the GOP wants smaller Govt and has reduced spending to the point where there's no protection for the public and there's no control or food corporations which is ,of course, the main purpose of smaller Government.

Don't eat meat..Period. Most people, that see what goes in a slaughterhouse, wouldn't. No such thing as a cruel free killing!

you know, I love horses. They are beautiful and gentle but I also love cows and in the end it is animals being abused kin horrid conditions, animals being slaughtered. I love them all equally and often wonder-do people think one is more important than the other? Is it the conditions they live under? I eat no animals as is probably obvious. I would eat a cow no more than I would eat a dog. or wear a fox. I ma appalled at the fact that horses are being killed for food but I am equally appalled at what cows and pigs and all other animals go through.

I love all animals, but equines hold a special place in my heart. Stop eating meat. Slaughter is always cruel.

While I understand being upset at having your food mislabeled I cannot understand why people are making such a fuss about eating horse. There is no difference between eating a cow and eating a horse at least they are both large animals with a lot of meat on them unlike chickens.

Gross and unethical. If consumers wanted to eat horse, dog, cat or God knows what., they would buy it. To cheat and deliberately misinform is theft. These providers should be fired and fined big time.

Another reason we need truth in labeling laws. Glad I don't eat meat. Those that do are encouraging this type of thing to happen. I guess if you eat beef, then what's the difference if it's a horse. Same goes if you eat pork or sheep, isn't that the same as eating a dog?
