I hope this puts an end to these particular people's horrible ordeal! The worst thing is that any of our fellow human beings are being subjected to this unthinkable suffering. There are people suffering around the world now because of all forms of evil, stupidity, and greed. Borders should have little meaning in life and death situations like this. We are all human beings first. Will we ever learn? From the article:

[Malaysian Foreign Minister] Anifah said the two countries agreed to give the estimated 7,000 stranded migrants temporary shelter “provided that the resettlement and repatriation process will be done in one year by the international community”.

“I urge all NGOs, of all races and religions to step forward to volunteer to help these Rohingya migrants,” Malaysia’s home minister, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said.

“Even though they are a migrant community that is trying to enter the country illegally, and breaking immigration laws, their wellbeing should not be ignored.”

Great news - a step forward with a hand out to help these suffering people
Thanks, Judy!

But they'll need help - please sign Rohingya: lighting the torch amid a sea of darkness

And the Phillipines also responds positively ... Philippines May Open Doors to Rohingya Migrants - although they are some distance from the current boat people crisis in Asia ... Funds would be needed to help the refugees get there

And impoverished Gambia announced it's a sacred duty to help fellow Muslims and offered to take them in, too.

The Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, absolutely refuses to offer any help. I'm ashamed of my country.
