Christine Taubira Says Snowden and Assange Could Find Home in France

A French leftist newspaper had said giving Snowden asylum would be a "single gesture" that would send "a clear and useful message to Washington," in response to the "contempt" the U.S. showed by spying on France's president.

They would if we respected the Constitution and did more than pay lip service to freedom!

Be interesting to see if the offers arise. France's revenge may be sweet for the 2 whistleblowers. However, politics being the fickle being that it is, such a switch switch could turn into a set-up...

It is not France but Madame Taubira, and when she talks it's never 'cheap' Animae. Again here, I want to express my deepest respect to our justice minister who defended her laws with such strength and intelligence, recognition by France of its responsibility for slavery or marriage for all. Many accuse her of not having left the government does not do economic policy for which it was elected, or too speak on his behalf. Snowden was popular in France long before the NSA eavesdropping. To be continued.

Excellent idea. However both should be free. They are heroes, and we are in urgent need of more brave men and women like them.

Noted. Thanks, Judy.
Well, it would be fantastic to see them both allowed to live freely in France. Neither should be stuck where they are presently. Yes, brave heroes both.

I agree both should be free to choose where they want to live. Thanks Judy
