Another pipeline project at the other end of the U.S. is quietly being installed as fast as possible, displacing residents, threatening water supplies, and racking up alleged construction violations. Most people in the region haven't even heard of it.

It IS one, Animae. The entire U.S. is going to be a sacrifice zone if things keep going the way they are. They don't do any maintenance on existing pipelines, and they're constantly ramming more and more through.

Whenever or wherever you see Duke Energy involved you can count on it not being a good thing for people or environment.

Duke Energy was behind the Solar initiative that was passed, sounds good which is what they wanted the people to believe, but it was a very unfriendly consumer bill. It passed because the people were led to believe it would help bring solar power into Florida. We had grassroots funding and efforts to fight back however Duke Energy has deep pockets so ran misleading ads constantly on TV here and large mailings.

I appreciate you posting this here, while I've posted a lot on Standing Rock on C2 I've not exposed this like I should on C2, however I am connected to this on FB and have done some on the ground local events to get awareness out and to sign on the ground petitions being offered at local events.

Again, just like with the oil pipeline, people are fed the lies of it being for their gas use and making the US independent from the Middle East while the gas will be going to international markets, and again having no concern for our drinking water.

I have been passing around on FB a Meme that states if you do not want to stay in the cold of Dakota and must leave consider coming to Florida as they need help with the Sabal Trial Pipeline Stand. You can call them at 949-291-4871 for further information.

Shared over social media to spread awareness.

Intriguingly, sharing this on facebook this evening, is censored.

Thanks, everyone. Dandelion, I hadn't seen you post anything about this, but I wondered about you when I read this. I like that Facebook meme. This project sounds like a nightmare, it's no wonder that they're keeping it well under the radar.

And I forgot to add, Facebook is censoring that meme, Darren? That's not too surprising, either.

Noted. Thanks, Judy.
I think a lot of this comes down to the lack of stringency on the eminent domain issue. The article explained it very well. This is a private for-profit company, and is NOT in the greater good of the country.

The “operations of nature show a mutuality that man ends to overlooking his regard for his host, the heart, and that he can be brought to exercise towards other living things, even toward his own species, only in moments-or so it seems-when he forgets to be predatory and ruthless.” Theodor Rosebury-"Life on Man," pp 208.

Janet, thanks so much for correcting me because the last thing I heard was it passed. Might of known that the information came from lamestream TV and I never went further than that. Well at least something came out of the voting I did that I can cheer about along with the passage of the medical marijuana.

Wow, it was close Janet......perhaps they did a recount? Is why I heard them say it had passed. In any case the results were
4,544,601 for yes 51%
4,406,583 for no 49%
Needing 60% to pass........
