I don't remember the source, but recently I heard that air pollution is is now responsible for more illnesses than smoking. I'll have to see if I can verify that.

Identify and rectify. Every state that believes the world is not flat should help themselves to all the technology and science when they can while they can. Lots of luck getting federal help from the brain dead congress.
Thanks Judy

Was this the article Judy?

Pollution is killing more people than wars, obesity, smoking, and malnutrition.

Also this one;

World pollution kills more people annually than wars, disasters, hunger.

One out of every six premature deaths in 2015, about 9 million, was due to toxic exposure.
The financial cost of pollution-related death, sickness and welfare is $5.9 trillion annually.
The worst affected countries are in Asia and Africa, with India topping the list.

Animae. The article I read about on that topic was more recent. However, these two articles do verify that the information is correct, and it's been known for quite a while. Thanks for those links, Animae.

It's certainly needed more now ie tRump administration was lifting key controls on toxic air pollution. He's continues to keep trying to slowly kill us one way or another. Thanks Judy

Here in CA I can now visit LA and not need to wash it off my face every 4 hrs. This is the right kind of electronic surveillance and use of surveillance technology--regulations need to limit privacy invasions of other kinds. Thanks Judy

I haven't been to LA in a lot of years JL, but it's nice to hear that it's cleaner there now. Technology really does have beneficial uses, but it always seems to be a double edged sword. Regulation is definitely needed.

Colleen, sadly it does seem like Trump and his kind are hoping to kill a lot of us off, one way or another.

Outstanding posting, Judy, thank you. Thank you, Animae. I know living so close to the fifth busiest airport in North America is doing me ill and sometimes doing me in.
