People keep blaming the breed, its NOT the breed, its the owners..the dogs get into the wrong hands, they are mistreated, they are starved, and they are forced to fight for their lives.. Why blame just the animal.

yrna, thx/noted/ will sign

i have for years said the same thing; the 2 pits i knew were as sweet & kind as their owners! and it's not the dogs fault his jaw strength is so much more than the average dog.

I signed this petition some time ago. I wholeheartedly agree - blame the owners, not the dogs! I'd rather deal with a sweet pit bull than a vicious golden retriever - wouldn't you?

I agree. The solution is; the next time a pit bull or any breed for that matter attacks and kills someone the owner that has abused that dog should be put down and the dog be put into rehabilitation.

Pitbulls are just adorable... it depends on the upbringing of the dog... bad media and breed discrimination is what makes this breed human-threatening... APBT is the most abused breed... my heart goes with these dogs... when will they be understood???

Noted, signed, forwarded to Facebook and a friend. These truly are some wonderful animals and some of the most loyal companions. The last picture I have of Molly is one where she's laying on the ground and a baby boy was rolling all over her. It's such a shame some owners have chosen to make their dogs mean and given the breed a bad name in the process. The owners are the ones who need to be punished, not the dogs.

signed. So many untrained dogs COULD be dangerous... Owners should not have any dog, unless they are willing to spend the time to train it and to keep it under observationa and keep it sockialized and not to let it get bored. If a person is not wililng to do that, amy resulting bad behaviour by the dog, is the owner's fault. The owner is the pack leader and the pack leader is the one who SHOULD lead the pack. All the ROttweillers that I have known have been silly old adorable and lovely creatures! ( Obviously with loving and intelligent owners!)
