strongly urge you to do everything in your power to require that animal testing of drugs and devices is replaced by humane and effective non-animal methods. As you know, proven and less expensive alternatives to animal testing exist and are widely used

NOTED,WE ALL KNOW THAT ANIMALS ARE USED IN TESTING AND RESEARCH BECAUSE ITS CHEAPER AND THEY MAKE MORE PROFITS FROM IT AND THATS WHY IT CONTINUES TODAY,ALL ANIMAL TESTING AND RESEARCH SHOULD BE ABOLISHED AND OUTLAWED AS ITS USELESS TO HUMANS AND ANIMALS AND ITS DONE ONLY FOR PROFITS AND AT THE EXPENSE OF INNOCENT ANIMALS.

Signed as so many are... I wished they would just stop using these animals & use themselves.. sorry.. as far as I am concern they expendable but the animals are not... no use for tortures of these animals but much use for these ones that are being used for it..

Actually experiments on animals are more expensive than the alternatives BUT the National Institutes of Health whose funds are voted on by your senators is the root of the problem. We need to keep pounding our elected officials to offer the labs the same dollars IF they use alternatives which are less expensive and result in more accurate data. You have to start at the top and work down!!!!!! Your senators are funding the NIH so that's where you need to start.

So true Charly, like many issues you need to start at the top to stop the funding, then keep on working down. Signed and thanks Sophia!

Signed for my baby, Sasha, and the many other animals like her who should not have to be experimented on, suffering for the vanity or health of humans. Pfft! if there's chemicals in something, yeah, of course it's going to have a bad effect. Animal testing and research is cruel and barbaric!

Noted, previously signed and will write my senators to tell them to fund alternative testing and if they do get a request for animal based experiment that they tell them the funding is pended and will be released when they revise the experiments to not include animals. Dangle the $$$ carrot and they will find a new way.

I believe they go for this big bucks testing because they can beg for big bucks. How much more do we need than the endorsements of doctors saying this research is a lie and totally unnecessary? Our friends are in prisons because of their endless fight to rescue the defenseless..
