As most have heard the Islamic dictum: First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.

Jews are by far the fewest in number and are most vulnerable in Western countries. Europe needs to cleanse and root out the vestiges of antisemitism they themselves harbor, and avert their eyes at when it Islamic antisemitism leads to murders of Jews in their midst, because the non-Muslim Europeans are effectively complicit for their reticence to address the issue.

The Christians in the Judenrfrei countries elsewhere, are the "new Jews", and as Islam clearly targets Christians, it's horrible, but not at all surprising that these poor Christians are tragically receiving the bulk of the violence and murder. Again, the Western world is largely complicit for their thundering silence in condemning the hundreds of thousands of Christian deaths by Muslims. The West have become odious weenies.

They say that Jews are the canary in the coal mine. This adage is once again proving true. Europe enthusiastically embraced the notion that if they singled out Jews and Israel, then the Jewish sacrificial lamb/scapegoat would appease the Islamic world, and it kind of did for a while.

No more. Beguiling Islamists are taking off the mask, and the West is slowly having it dawn on them.

if the aftermath of the holocaust failed to uproot, expose and expunge anti-semitism, what could? jewish people are THE scapegoat deeply embedded in europe's superstition and mythology, a legacy of centuries of slanders. interestingly, anti-semitism has never poisoned china.

i fear anti-semitism will outlive our grandchildren, much as i wish it were otherwise.

@ Hilary S --- "...interestingly, anti-semitism has never poisoned china."

Have you heard of the Uyghur people, a Turkic ethnic group living in Eastern and Central Asia? They are Sunni Muslim and are persecuted by the Chinese. The Han Chinese, the favoured majority people of China, have been and continue to move into the Uyghur areas. Or perhaps you have heard of the Tibetan people whom the Chinese government persecute and kill if they don't kow-tow.

I will agree that historically in Europe, Jews have been hounded and hunted. That goes back well before the Crusades. But past injustices cannot be undone. We can only change going forward!

I agree with AniMae Chi when she says "It's disgusting, hatred everywhere, it's so much easier to LOVE."

So, when are you going to stop being enablers and start the process of LOVE? And I would say the same thing to everyone on this earth. With the amount of hate now worldwide, it seems the human race is in a race to the bottom. When we get there, no more human race.

The majority of people in the world, and the numbers are staggering, that face persecution, even death, are not Jewish - just take a look, and ask, why is it in Western media, this seems to get less attention, than alleged spikes in attacks against Jewish people.
The fact is, that with any increased numbers in a population/group, there will, likely, be increased incidents of crime, of any kind - though this is not, necessarily, so.

There are, and have been very peaceful communities around the world; violence, often starts, when people move in, using force or oppression on indigenous groups.

Of course, Western media will be quick to report anti Jewish sentiment or attacks, while it is important to note that, there are always attacks on non Jewish populations, and crimes against Jews are by no means always due to anti Jewish attitudes, as often claimed or insinuated - any more than crimes/violence against other religious entities are not usually based on ethnicity/religion.
The constant emphasis by media or some, intentionally, or otherwise, to 'self promote', while using disparate date that does not accurately describe trends in a balanced way, is questionable and worth looking at, seriously, for underlying agendas or misrepresentation.
Any time there is an increase in violence against individuals or groups, it is important to try to look for underlying social issues or causes, and note information that singles out one type of crime or ethnic group, that does not report or under represents other groups and crimes, in comparative terms, that may leave room for exaggeration, bias or misleading interpretation.
Hype and hysteria has been exploited many a time, The way I see it, it is not a good thing.
