Saudi Clerics Fight for the Right to Marry Children

World  (tags: Saudi Arabia, Pedophilia, Child Abuse )

A few days ago, efforts to set a minimum age for marriage in Saudi Arabia "received a blow after the Grand Mufti said there was nothing wrong with girls below 15 getting married."

Horrible. But all through the ages little girls were married to older men. So what's new? Only now we understand how terrible it is and what psychological and physical effects this has. Maybe they knew even then but just didn't care. Women are just objects to be owned and used.

Well, Mohammed did it and Allah condones it - sex with children, the capture, rape and sexual enslavement of non-muslim women, 'temporary marriage' so men can have sex with any woman as long as he gets a permit from his imam, 4'wives' to slake your lust with, and sex with hairless boys.

Islam is obsessed with sex yet it is the most sexual and perverted "religion" I have ever studied. Sickening

"However, the ulema—the "religious scholar," the learned ones of Islamic law—responded by totally ignoring the request."

Given that the only requirement for one to be an Islamic cleric is to simply declare that you are one, it is difficult to take anything these pieces of human excrement seriously. Or to care about whatever they think. But when it comes to their fatwa's allowing for child abuse, pedophilia, murder and other obscenities, one must oppose them lest one be taken to agree. Those who practice this form of "religion" are not religious at all, they are simply perverts who belong in jail along with their leadership. At best.

Yes Gene well said,ha mashuga set the example for his followers with Aisha.Their book is not our Book and their god is certainly not our God..We Infidel men are far from perfect but most of us respect women as equals and protect the innocence of children.

Muhammad, Ha Meshuga, had very few followers until he started preaching that Allah wanted him and his merry band of murderers to lie, loot, raid, rape, take sex slaves, murder, torture, terrorize the enemy, subdue women, make them into sex and baby machines.

This type of behavior is not exclusive to Saudis, but is happening all over in the world of Islam, and it is happening more and more in the West as those in charge avert their eyes to placate their Islamic masters.

yet another of the cultish aspects of islam, so rich in all manner of patriarchal male privilege. beats me why any woman would convert into this cult, thereby colluding with the very basest forms of slavery surviving on earth.

The war on terrorism and the war on women won't end til almost ALL of the arab-islamic world changes and is brought to live in the 21st century .

Sad, Sorry, Sadistic, and Sickening. This isn't sex; it is perversion. I will never understand how a man can accept such teachings since all men have women in their lives that they love and want to protect. How could any man with a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, mother, aunt, or wife want to force an under aged child into marriage or sex acts? This is about control and about men being uncomfortable with their own sexuality so they want to attack someone who is weaker so they can fool themselves into believing they are superior.

Well, the Arabs still live in the 7th century! At that time civil society, dignity and the basics of human rights weren't invented yet. I believe, that Neanderthal men and cavemen were more developed.

USA, still in bush/republican economic depression, goes unnoticed by being distracted and unreported.
