In yet another example of the insensitivity of the rich towards the middle class, Chicago Traders once again went to their windows and threw McDonalds' applications down to the Occupy Chicago protesters below.

Perhaps no one ever informed these insenstive low life Traders, that back in April of 2011 McDonalds announced it would hire 50,000 people. They received ONE MILLION applications from desperate people who needed employment. They hired 62,000 most of the positions were part time.

I'd like to see those Traders live on part time income from McDonalds, but it is even more agregious on their part that ONE MILLION people HAVE ALREADY applied to McDonalds.

Myself personally. I think those applications should be collected and shoved them where the sun don't shine on the ones who had the cold hearts that did that. They best be careful they may find their sorry arses out there one day.

What, they got no litter laws in Chicago? The cops should have had those asses in thousand dollars suits collecting those applications for disposal, just where you suggest. And then jailed!

Do they have any applications to litter for environmentalist vegans against corporate america? They think we would want their corrupt greedy jobs and bloated ,superficial ,destructive desires .I would sooner serve contaminated waste where they feed. They should be careful when insulting a mob?So delusional, It just shows how blinded they truly are. Thanks Dandelion...

It really makes you wonder what it takes to 'create' such people. May they soon find their humanity, they seem to have lost it. If they consciously agreed to the greed poison, well, karma due. 5

This show of detached arrogance should serve as a warning as to just how bad 'that' mind set is, and 'it' is the majority in Congress. Occupy brings us together, but we must continue with attention to each our owns' state's legislation, and DC. They will use this as a distraction as long as they can, so, All On Board, however you can.

Lynn forwarded a YouTube video to me that was forwarded to her by Henriette which outlines a way to get back at the Wall Street banks. Trust me, it's a great idea. It involves collecting all the mail solicitations you receive from the Wall Street banks that include a postage-paid envelope, filling that envelope with the heaviest junk you can fit into it, along with a message expressing your outrage, and mailing it back to them. I was going to flatten out empty toilet paper rolls, write a message on them, and stick them in the envelopes. But after reading this post, I'm going to include job applications for McDonald's and/or trash from any McDonald's purchase I make. I think they deserve to be inundated with McDonald's trash --and have to pay postage for it to boot!

The link for the video appears below. I've found that I'm no longer able to create links but I'm going to try anyway. If it doesn't work, please use the URL I'm providing. You won't be sorry!

Can't send you another green star this week Sheryl, but I'll second the motion on collecting those applications and "disposing" of them properly.
Ok, Chicago traders. Let that be your "let them eat cake" legacy

Yet again, this simply demonstrates what they financial industry REALLY thinks of the public, and how little they value your life and your existence. You exist to give what little you have to them, otherwise, you are simply an inconvenience in the way of their pursuit of wealth and power.

Don't forget this insult, people, remember it well: the rich of the world really DO want everyone else to exist as their servants and slaves.

I think you are misunderstanding these kind, gentle souls on Wall Street.

These guys in the tops of these lofty ivory towers ordered the lower down financial department to throw McDonalds gift coupons to the Occupiers..

The problem was that the various departments had to get authorized by the various department heads, who were at a very loud party eating crunchy food, which was also very loud.. So they misundestood the order.

They threw out the applications for McDonalds, because they did not hear the coupons part at the end, just McDonalds...

IT was also odd coincidence that at the time, McDonalds was going through the building handing out job applications to these Wall Street traders, because they heard that many of them were going to be laid off in the coming financial collapse.

Finally, the Wall Street traders loved the Occupiers so much, they figured that the Occupiers should have first crack at the jobs, and they would wait for a later job.

At least, this is what I think I heard on Faux News...

Cheers Dandelion...

As MJM wrote about the litter laws. They should have been arrested for littering the side walk.

As to Susanne's link: I have been doing that for years now, sending back the credit card applications, writing; No, I don't want your f credit card and putting all my junk mail in the envelope. The only thing I haven't done is weigh the envelope down with a brick!! Mmmmm... Maybe next time!! :0)

Ah, good ole' FAKE News......thanks Green Road for sharing their spin on it. Those writers will do well in the fiction book writing department.

Thanks Susanne for the information. I too have been doing that for years Wooddragon, sending back the junk mail and have added my comments back even before a Wall Street Occupy existed. I use to tell them the were a bunch of Legalized THEIVES. I don't get much of their mail anymore so I think they now have me on their Do Not Mail List.

Hee hee hee........good one, a brick inside. I like that.

"Faux News"

I love that, thanks for posting it, Green Road! :)

Wooddraggon said "here was a song playing in my head when I was reading this;
The harder they come, The harder they fall "

You know, there's an old Zulu proverb that is fitting for this occasion, and really lends credence to that song in your head. It goes like this:

"The higher the monkey climbs, the more he shows his ass."

[waits for Carole to appear and bust a gut laughing! :D ]

Following all the advice here, I received an application for a Citibank credit card in the mail and as they rank as THE WORST of the lot according to an Alternet article, I sent them back the statistics on said article and told them on no uncertain terms, p!ss off! And did it on their dime, with the postage paid envelope that came with the app... Going to keep doing that, it gave me warm and fuzzies! And also made me feel like I had stood up and finally said something.... Not that the poor schmuck in the mail room will get what I did....

Yeah, that's what we need, more part-time minimum-wage jobs so we have more workers living below the poverty level who have no chance of competing against the 1%.

Just wait, they will get theirs, what comes around, goes around. Don't let up on the peaceful, pressure. They are not broken yet and are still wild on the oates feed them by the Cheney presidency during the Bush years and are feeling indestructible because they successfully blackmailed America with the to big to fail ploy.

thanks Dandelion. sorry about the early morning there/their thing in my earlier post :P so just to take it bit further.. :]

i recommend using the back of paper that has already been printed on with stuff you dont need anymore [reuse and reduce :P !!!]..just nothing with any of your info on it :P you can also save on your colour ink by setting your printer properties to print in grey scale/use only black in/lower quality, you can save colour ink cartridges by doing this...i digress :P

i havent thought of a way around the postage yet. :)

Save your postage monies people
and all your JUNK to McDonalds too.

had worked in the mail room of a giant

any additional insignificant material in the
trash. No one with clout will see your mail.

And therein lies the reason for the occupation. The gross arrogance! The sense of entitlement. The feeling that everyone protesting is only qualified to work at McDonald's. These are the people that took their multi-million dollar bonuses that were paid for with tax derived bailout money. Of course they are laughing at the rest of us. They completely screwed the entire country financially, then our elected "leader" gave them millions that came from our hard work.

The fact that they did not have the decency to refuse the bonuses speaks volumes. They don't think they have to play by the rules. They have no shame. They don't see themselves as venal, soulless, and money grubbing. They're pathetic losers, with the depth and complexity of a slug (and that's an insult to slugs everywhere), but they see themselves as "winners". Our educational system in many instances teaches people to go for the jugular. Compassion and empathy are for the weak. It's a sad shame, but it's the reason why this country, and the rest of the world, is in such a terrible mess.

Already sent a packet of junk mail to Citibank. Wow! did that ever feel good! Our economy has been constipated by these cold hearted bastards, that sure is good to loosen up some of their postage spare change. Did anyone take pix of the McDonald's applications being thrown
? Seems like a good thing to put on the internet and "show" to the Fox followers what's going on. Look whose littering now! Hey, they have to come out of the building sometime and face the commonfolk. Hope someone spits in their latte.

I used to work in the securities industry in Chicago 20 years ago. This article does not surprise me whatsoever.
A lot of the traders are blue collar types who have found a living getting paid well to ply their trade. For the most part they have $$ for eyes and do not want to see anything but $$$. A lot of them have moved out of the city and either into the far northern suburbs or inch ever further south. Of course you have a few western suburban types, if anything those have more sympathy for the unemployed (not much mind you). In essence they want to distance themselves from the unwashed as they don't want to remember they were there not so long ago.

Noted. In time, Karma will take a bite out of their asses and even though I do not eat at Mc Donalds, I will go in and order something just to hear one of THEM say "Would you like fries with that"?

Those throwing the applications out the windows aren't anywhere near being one of the 1%..they just work for those that are so perhaps they will soon wish they'd held on to some of the apps when they too lose their jobs.

Oh well, earning an above average wage isn't a substitute for class, so what more can be expected of these Wall Street desk jockey trash types who are too stupid to know they aren't one of their bosses who are in the 1%. Who knows, maybe one day they too will wake up to their own reality ...and perhaps even figure out what 'having class' is all about, but for the majority of them I doubt that will be the case.
