Sadly this doesn't surprise me. I think this has been coming for a long long time........I'm glad I am old. I don't want to see where this sort of thing will end up in the not so distant future.

TU Dandelion. My wife lived very near NSA and knew a lot of people who worked there, both military and civilians. In her last year of college she interviewed for a job there for 3 days. She said the place gave her the creeps...armed guards with machine guns, signs in the bathroom about not discussing your job, etc. Big Brother has been watching for a long time.

I just pray we wake up as a group of people, more powerful through our concern and care for the sake of our children and everyone's future than those stealing all our freedoms, supported by the dumbed down, obese, brainwased FOX News watchers. We need to move fast, time is almost run out.

Thanks for posting this. It confirms what we all ready suspected. Our government is not protecting us, it is trying to figure out how to cage us.

Thanks for this article, Dandelion. People do indeed need to be aware of this. I think of this surveillance apparatus as an extension of the military-industrial complex. Like all these high-dollar weapons systems, governments will use these surveilance technologies more and more, so that the the corporations selling them can continue to profit, and develop more systems.

One factor pointed out in the video that can work in favor of regular citizens is the fact that there is such a thing as too much information. They can't imprison the entire 99%!

I posted an article tonight in a similar vein that describes the insane level of "security" and surveillance that will be in place in London for the 2012 Olympics. It has been called "Lockdown London". It's a frightening example of how far repressive tactics can go, and how quickly. There is no known plan for dismantling it, either. Let's see if I can get the link right.

'Drones, Missiles and Gunships, Oh My!' Welcome to the 2012 London Olympics

I have suspected such programs existed for some time, perhaps if we all post ambiguous statements online it will drive this "spy" system into overload causing it to crash. Thank Sheryl.

from even before the Patriot act, been feeling our rights slipping away
George Orwell might not have had the dates right. But he was 20/20 on how government will monitor our activities. Thanks kola

Thank you Judy, your link worked, I noted and will take a read as soon as I'm off here.

Indeed Mary, there has been a certain amount of this going on, but this video verifies that even those who work in doing this are now coming forward to say, this next step that is taking place is taking it too far. When you have those within the NSA saying it, then you know you are in a heap of trouble.

Like the term Arild, certainly fits perfectly. It saddens me in my lifetime I had to witness it. I am glad most of the Greatest Generation, as they were called, are either gone or too old to perhaps now be understanding what is going on.

Privacy AND tax dollars gone also to NSA's new Security Center in Bluffdale, Utah. $4 Billion of our tax $$. Infrastructure aside, folks are starving and have substandard living condition right in the US. They without internet will be in the only "safe" havens from data retrieval. Although if they happen to afford a phone...We're backwards and still movin' that way. Much to be done.

Sheryl G (359)

I suppose that is one way of looking at it Nancy, the poor will be too poor to trace. They won't be able to have a phone, computer, or much money so they most likely won't have credit cards, own anything, so with the new underground economy that will have to spring up with bartering, oral stories, pencil on paper, may at least in that respect fall off the radar.

Then the top 10% of society that can afford to have anything will be able to spy on each other. The Greedy always do eat each other in the end.

More and more this government is becoming the type of government we were warned about, and fought to be free of, and it's scary. This site leads to another site that interviews the whistleblowers

Here we go, a perfect example. We have Robert J. with 0 friends, who joined C2 today, the day I put this on here.

If you go to his blog you will see it's an advertisment for him, or his law firm he is part of, who won some case in a whistle blower with a medication.

Obviously, the title to this news has triggered something in his personal or firms website that caused him to come to join C2 and drop the statement above. If a law firm or this individual gets some kind of a trigger by a word typed onto C2, then we can imagine what else is going on, and what happened here perfectly supports what this story is about.

I have lived too long. Are we loving our Fascism yet? Has everyone learned how to goose-step in unison yet?Doesn't matter......we will all be catalogued, numbered and stashed away somewhere 'safe' for our own 'protection' a lot of us will simply be 'disappeared' or worse 'retired' (actually I'd just rather be retired and be done with it, but that's just moi) ....Goodnight, America.

LOL Yvonne, they already know where I'm at too. Ain't Big-Daddy Love grand? NOT!

Sheryl, the data-moles (and bagger/gov't trolls) have been here for a long long time my friend. They are just more blatant about it now because they feel safe, because they think they have already won. IF Mr. Runs-With-Scissors, PlasticMan Rmoney buys the election we are all in for a world of hurt, mental, physical and probably several other shades of hell as well that we haven't thought of.

Ok, I am thoroughly depressed now, think I'll go love on my dawgs and get my mind right again.

Our families have suffered great losses defending our U.S. Constitution and the FREEDOM it represents. This story confirms that they have died for NOTHING.
From the signers of the Declaration of Independence to the latest casualty in Afghanistan, if we do not STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY they have all BIED FOR NOTHING.
Am asking all veterans and active military to remember the oath they took to 'support & defend the Constitution of the United States' and begin actually doing that - TODAY. Orders from officers who are betrayibg that oath are not valid and deserve no recognition. This is why I can no longer vote for the Lesser Of Two Evils.
This man is the best example of a great military hero I have seen in my lifetime. Be like him, a real patriot!

Thanks, Dandelion, this is crucially important for everyone to know! I once complained that if my tax dollars are being spent to spy on me, then I wanted all that info that was collected. If I actually go through proper red tape to find it, that will target me if I'm not already on their radar. Nice little Catch-22 the gov't has put its citizens in, huh? If I actually had a "big brother" who was doing this to me, I'd kick him where it hurt to make him stop.

Understood John, we all make these typo's from time to time. Loved the Lessor of Two Evils video. I think I'll use it myself, as I'm with you on that one. I also agree with you on Sgt. Thomas. Glad he got so many hits on youtube as well. We need more like him, men and women.

And while we, the People, were sleeping, rules and regulations were overturned and changed. It happened almost without anyone noticing it. But here we are - in an unequal, destructive and fascist world.
But then maybe 'society' can be compared to a person. When the person has come to their 'lowest' point in life, he has a choice 'to change' or 'to die'. Same with society - or we succeed in changing the system, or we die.

Dropping out is no solution. We have to rise up in numbers large enough to scare the socks off the establishment weenies. This surveillance is dead wrong. The militarization of our police departments is dead wrong. We have to do something about it. Withdrawal from democracy is no answer. But as John points out, voting for the evil of two lessers is the absolutely wrong answer. We have to bring information to our friends, neighbors, everyone we know. We have to work outside the institutions that have betrayed us.

But we also have to make sure that we do it wisely. Misdirected anger and rage is frequently subverted by demagogues, like Father Coughlin in the 30s and Joe McCarthy in the 50s. Like the Tea Party leadership today.
