Take out the peanuts, popcorn, and carrot sticks and sit back to watch this video, which I realize is an hour long. This man has people on this video who state this cannabis oil has cured them of various ailments includes cancer. No one is paid for what they have done, in fact if anything it has caused Rick Simpson some legal issues. After all we are speaking of a plant, but it is a plant called cannabis.

Remember, if we were able to treat ourselves so inexpensively and with better results, that would take a lot of money out of the hands of the For Profit Insurance Industry. At the very least, think about it. If you lost a loved one to cancer, like I have, wouldn't you at least of wanted them to have had the opportunity to try this? I know I would of.

Sheryl thank you for posting this video which I will watch, I just wanted to comment by saying that our Indigenous peoples on our Mother Earth have tremendous knowledge about plants gathered over centuries. Their healing is free from chemicals that create further dis=ease! Pharma companies and insurance companies get rich from the suffering of others. Animals suffering horrendous torture in labs for no reason is unconsciounable.
I did not know about hemp oil but have known about cannabis, but not cannabis oil. I've always been wholisitically inclined, taking homeopathic remedies etc. however due to the severity of my spinal injury the pain I experience 24/7 has 'looped' into a cycle my doctor says only narcotics can help alleviate!
Now ... where's that popcorn ...
thanks Sheryl as always my cyber sis you're caring, sharing, wisdom & friendship make me truly grateful our paths have come together... in beauty!
Prayers rising for the suffering, for our indigenous sisters and brothers whose rainforests are being decimated, and for our plant relations.

Mother Nature provides for us all. But because of the power and greed of some, they want to restrict this for other people.

Remember that the so called "war on drugs" is a trillion dollar a year business, which funds many republican things. No wonder they are against cannibus and yet give billions to big pharma.

I can't smoke, but with all the pain i have daily, I i wish I could at least try this. Pills don[t seem to work.

#1) another MAJOR REASON TO SAVE THE SOUTH AMERICAN RAINFORESTS AND PROTECT ALL THE PEOPLE, AS THEY KNOW THE "PLANTS, FLORA AND FAUNA" AND THEY ARE THE LAST OF THE "TRUE WISDOM"..AND THEY ..ALONE!!..KNOW HOW TO USE THEM!!..TO CURE AND PROTECT!!!.....pot, is a great painkiller, especially if Big Pharma and "your" doctors are using you as an experiment or they just plain donot know what else to do....(my Mom, a retired registered Nurse..(said it is okay to share now)..CALLED MY bROTHER, TOLD HIM TO "GO BUY THE BEST pot AND BRING IT TO ME"!!..THEN SHE TOLD HIM TO ROLL IT INTO "JOINTS" AND TELL HER HOW TO SNEAK IT INTO THE HOSPITAL"....she was working with terminally ill AIDS patients and dying people from Cancer to many "ills"...and the "pharma drugs, were "killing them " and making their deaths so slow and painful, She could not stand it any more..and gave in to an Aid's patient and snuck in 2 joints for him, and snuck him and his partner outside...and so feared for her job!!..but cared for this man like he was her own son!!!..and put everything on the line!..She swears she did the right thing and that it changed her life, which it did!!( She is actually almost nice to people now days and she revels in Life!!)..I will save this in favorites and hope to sit down this weekend and watch! Thankyou, Sheryl!

U.S. Government Stopped Research After Finding That Marijuana Slowed Cancer Growth

NORML's Paul Armentano has a disturbing account of the history of government research regarding the benefits of THC as a potential cancer treatment:

Not familiar with this scientific research? Your government is.

In fact, the first experiment documenting pot's potent anti-cancer effects
took place in 1974 at the Medical College of Virginia at the behest federal
bureaucrats. The results of that study, reported in an Aug. 18, 1974,
Washington Post newspaper feature, were that marijuana's primary
psychoactive component, THC, "slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast
cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their
lives by as much as 36 percent."

Despite these favorable preliminary findings (eventually published the
following year in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute), U.S.
government officials refused to authorize any follow-up research until
conducting a similar - though secret - clinical trial in the mid-1990s. That
study, conducted by the U.S. National Toxicology Program to the tune of $2
million, concluded that mice and rats administered high doses of THC over
long periods had greater protection against malignant tumors than untreated
controls.

However, rather than publicize their findings, government researchers
shelved the results, which only became public after a draft copy of its
findings were leaked to the medical journal AIDS Treatment News, which in
turn forwarded the story to the national media. [timesheraldonline.com]

They haven't studied the issue since. And because the U.S. government holds a monopoly on "legal" marijuana that could be used for research purposes, they've been able to prevent independent researchers from further investigating marijuana's promising anti-cancer properties. Armentano notes that research overseas continues to produce very encouraging results.

Unfortunately, our government's blockade against marijuana/cancer research is so mindless and vindictive that it's almost impossible to convince anyone that they do things like this. It's a terrible and frequent conundrum for reformers that if we accurately describe the behavior of our opposition, we end up sounding crazy.

Thanks for this film- very interesting- have been following "other films and articles about "medical-marijuana" and i know people who FINALLY got it for different diseses- and now they are so much better.... they should give this to more people who really suffers, "the ppl in charge" are way 2 restricted and slow with this... I think it should be and end of this now- and a new beginning should start- in those cases where we KNOW it works and they STILL dont get it--- THAT is sick to me.... THANK YOU DANDELION for bringing this up- really appreciated ...

New Study Adds to Research Showing Marijuana Could Stop Cancer

It looks like the U.S. would rather let people die than admit we made a mistake prohibiting marijuana.

It really is distressing to see the loss of indigenous People's knowledge, including information about using plants for prevention of disease and healing. When we're alienated from Nature, we're alienated from ourselves. Modern people are very foolish in this regard. Maybe cannabis oil will become more acceptable. It seems like the pharmaceutical firms could make plenty of money off of it, because they could do research on its safety and efficacy, and they could formulate controlled dosages of the medicine. There are plenty of medicines in use today that are plant-based. Using the medicine in this way would eliminate the less scientific and possibly harmful method of smoking it, which unfortunately includes inhaling poison gases released in burning. Some researchers need to be smart and start preliminary testing of this drug.
Thanks for posting this, Dandelion!

In reading a couple of the posts above, it looks like there is a policy of suppressing cannabis research. Perhaps some kind of legal action would be in order to get this research moving forward.

Thanks Dandelion - wish i had an hour - but have always agreed to using cannabis for medicinal reasons - as you mentioned - Native Americans/ancestors used all types of herbs to cure or assist with ailments.

l would like to see more research on the cannabis oil since it has proven in some cases to helped prolong lives in mice and since it showed that it can alleviate or turn tumors smaller. I cannot smoke due to asthma; but my deceased husband did smoke marijuana at times. He was a Vietnam Veteran and evidently it helped him more than taking medications. He did die from pancreatic/liver cancer; but not sure if it was in part due to having been exposed to Agent Orange. Back in 2003 his Onocologist would not put it in writing that Agent Orange contributed to his death. His doctor also had a law degree. So many doctors seem afraid of being sued for malpractice that it seems that more research in regards to cannibis and medical cures may be delayed in part to the medical community being afraid of huge lawsuits.

I love you for this article, video and enlightment on Cannabis, dearest Sheryl! This is truly an eye opener for anyone to know that "Medicinal" is the key word...if it helps people then, why not let us use it for that? I don't get why it' not just legalized by now, why is the govt. not giving in to the "people" instead of making money with the big pharmas, etc...I'm pissed that we have to literally sneak behind the bushes to get treatment in this day and age knowing what we know about marijauna.

You can bake it with cookie mix ya know, or make a tea out of it, you can inhale it from a humidifier, you can smoke it, whichever your needs to give you relief from pain without having to take a "pill", hell I'm going to do it, that's what I say as an individual and leave me alone, let me live pain free dammit! I truly wish that we can solve this in my lifetime Dandelion because "we the people" is what's important here! I love this post, thank you for the highlight of my day and your a good soul here for caring. It's a good thing. xo

In peace & light always,

on a historical note, William Randolph Hearst is the biggest reason why it's illegal.was concerned that Thc paper would have put a chink in his lumber fortune if left legal. It's always about money and power.

I will watch film later. I used to smoke at a younger age. I just quit. But I have no problem with the use of marijuana espeially if it is for medicinal purposes. Legalize andyou get standard purity, taxes which can be used for medical research, and prohibition did not work. Out lawing marijuana will not work either.

As a disabled person whose Dr. prescribed medical marijuana for pain and also to give me an appetite, I was 82 lbs at the time, I can attest to the fact that it does work. I lived in Hawaii at the time where it was legal as far as the state was concerned. Smoking pot allowed me to sleep, it helped my pain levels, and it allowed me to eat at least enough to keep me alive. I had no appetite due to all of the medications I was on, hmm, there is a surprise. I was eventually able to reduce the amount of medications I was being given and soon I was no longer taking any pain pills. I am doing much better now, and I no longer use marijuana but for a while there it was saving my life. Thank you Dandelion for the info.

Don't need to view it because I already know the benefits it has for a person with Multiple Sclerosis. I did stop two years ago and I am still doing fine. Doctors still do not know why I recovered when they told my Parents that I only had six months to live. It is 38 years later and I am still here. The only thing that I can't beat is the heat. I do not have the drive I had while I was still smoking it, but, since I moved, I was beginning to feel guilty, especially living next door to a policeman, which I knew could smell that unique aroma on me. I finally had to give it up and just limit the things that I do. It helped me to sleep. It gave me appetite. It was also a crouch to lean on when I didn't have balance and had to learn how to do things all over again. It stopped migraines, nausea and improved my vision! I never took any of the drugs that are on the market for MS and I am in better health then my own doctor, who doesn't want to know what I do, but, just keep up whatever you are doing. I am so glad that I am afraid of needles. I know other people that are trying these drugs and are no where near the shape that I am in, even without it! I think I have enough THC in my system to last me for a while. I have three lesions on my brain and have not changed since my first MRI, so as far as destroying your brain cells that is BS. I say it was rewired to over come those dead zones in my brain. The only reason for them not to market it, is because it is to cheap to produce!

Adding my 2 cents to the fact that legalization makes sense. So many people have found such relief using this medicinally! It really should be a crime to deny people this healing cannabis that grows freely. America needs to grow up and realize that the majority of pharmaceuticals are plant based.
I was going to mention that it need not be inhaled--for those who suffer from asthma. In fact, I have a friend who hasn't had to see a doctor for her asthma in 20 years since she started smoking regularly....but others may benefit from brewing tea, or baking it into cookies, as a couple others commented above.
