Wow, that was powerful! I will definitely be watching and wearing my mask. I think it is amazing to watch how our younger generations are standing up for their freedoms, rights, and equality for all. We must never forget, nor shall we be silent! Brilliant post Ms. Dandelion/peacedove.

Being that it is around Halloween you might be able to pick it up in a local shop selling Halloween wear. There are many places on the internet to buy the mask. Just do a search for Guy Fawkes masks for sale or V for Vendetta Mask. I pulled up this link right away, although there are others.
Mask for $6.99 for sale of Guy Fawkes

Wow, what an energetic video. I think Anonymous does a great and important job. Desperately want them to watch Michigan's elections. There is something rotten going on with them. Now to find me a mask.

Yes, indeed Tasunka, as the video showed a few had homemade masks on and there was one in some green suit, looked like a green Spider Man. Join in, that is the most important thing. Stand up Speak out.

Thank you Christeen, think it would be more powerful if they take the masks off at end, the truth is not to be hidden !

Good idea. The reason for the masks is because the protest is on Guy Fawkes Day and the movie V for Vendetta was about Guy Fawkes and that was the mask used in the movie.

Thank you for this!

I hope many people do go out and protest. Not only is it a great chance to get away from the isolation that is computer-land and into fresh air, it's a chance to meet other like-minded people and have fun doing it.

In many day-to-day situations, the anonymity of the computer screen is a crutch, a buffer, a way to keep ourselves separate from others. To make reality easier to deal with. It is easy to believe "we" are more important than "them", since we can dismiss "them" by pressing a button. And the "them" can change at any time because we can see them as faceless zombie hordes, just "sheeple".

But they aren't. They are people. Just like us. They are just sometimes very different than we are. We need to stop "shutting off" and actually trying to interact. We need to bring about understanding, or realize that unfortunately, some are so far beyond understanding and reason, that more drastic steps must be taken. It's necessary if we are going to survive as a species. The inaction gets us nowhere.

But something like this, something for a cause, people working together, is a different thing. The anonymity can be a good idea. It can free you to get out there and do things maybe you wouldn't do normally. If you can support a cause AND have a good time at the same time, all the better. If enough people get out and DO something, and the jerks-in-power SEE the numbers of people out there in the flesh, maybe things will actually start getting done.

Very nicely said A F. I am aware of this Ros, that is why there are now videos online that show people how to apply the make-up to look like either the Guy Fawkes mask or anything else they want to be. Thereby it is not a mask but make up.

Wonder if wearing a mask at Halloween will send one to jail as well or being a mime. Harpers Government is being as punitive in many ways as the USA, if one can't think of one thing here, then our northern neighbor is doing it's fair share. I've never seen Canada so bad on so many fronts. Is very sad, I was in hopes they could pull us to a better place but it seems to have gone the other way.

I don't know what to say. This is the forth comment and still don't like it. But I won't delete it, even if it says nothing :)

Its reassuring to see the young going about the protection of their heritage. In a world run by self interest that is trying to over run the will of the citizens.People must unite world wide just as the oil lobby has, have no doubts they will stop at nothing to rule, side by side with the people you voted to represent your views & welfare & your land. Noted. Many thanks, Dandelion. I thoroughly enjoyed that video. What wonderful creativity and abundant energy the youth have! And, V For Vendetta is one of my all-time favorite movies.....loved the ending. And, in the ending, the masks were finally removed. Looking forward to the Fifth of November. Hopeful!
