Doug Seegers is a homeless street musician born in New York who lives in Nashville.

The two musicians Jill Johnson and Magnus Carlson from Sweden met him on the street after a tip from a hot dog salesman. They were very taken by his lyrics and flair for singing. So they decided to record the song GOING DOWN TO THE RIVER written by Doug Seegers in the Cash Cabin Studio.

A truly talented homeless street musician that deserves to get a roof over his head so help him become famous by spreading the word and purchasing his song from i tunes, link below.

Share this on all of your Social Websites and encourage those who can to buy the song so the royalty from it will go to him. This could be the break this man has been in need of.

Great tune and singer . Good to know that he is being offered a way off the streets and into the hearts of who knows how many eventually, with his voice and song writing talents .

Goosebumps! I am so happy that he got noticed and he may never have to live on the streets again. Ben, I also watched the video you posted above.
I just watched the daily action about Beagles being released after being in a lab for years and I was very emotional. I needed to see this as it brought my spirits back up :)
Thank you Ben and Sheryl! You are both helping to make a difference for this man. I'm going to watch the video again :)

I'm pretty sure this man won't end up in a casket any time soon, nor will he stay homeless much longer!
He can sing the blues alright, because he has the blues, but i hope and think he is about to lose it now.
Looks pretty much like a shooting star to me, after listening to both, his original (YouTube) and the studio version!
Btw, quite a dynamite voice as well from lady Jill , woohoo!
Many thanks Sheryl and Ben !!

Noted and shared. Loved the music. Will get it on my ipad as soon as I can find it there. It may take a little tweaking I think. I've already followed the link and I'm not coming up with it. Have it on my computer just fine, but not where I want it. I'll work on it tomorrow ~

Indeed both Jill and the other man have wonderful voices and hearts to match for taking the extra step to offer Doug a chance. Is all many people need is just a break in life or a chance at it.

Wonderful music. I hope this springs him forth into a new life. There is so much talent out there that we never see nor hear. It was pure pleasure to share in this lovely song.
