Elizabeth Warren on Rachel Maddow Part 1

US Politics & Gov't  (tags: Elizabeth Warren, Rachel Maddow, A Fighting Chance, Senator, MA, middle class, students, debt )

- 1908 days ago -
A brief history of how she has been speaking out for 24 years on the system has been rigged. Warren shows why she has chosen to fight tooth and nail for the middle class and believes that America's government can and must do better for working families.

Elizabeth Warren is always worth listening to as she explains in easy to understand terms how various policies intersect and work together to create various results that we all see. Thanks for posting Dandelion.

Thank you Dandelion. I watched this (yesterday or day before?) although I tuned in late and missed the back years. She was on many news shows promoting her book which is definitely on my list. I agree with JL A that she explains in easy to understand terms and certainly has a track record of being correct!

Help promote it if you want Ashley, could always use the help on these topics. The animal rights people do that a lot but seldom do these stories get a push.

It is true: compared to Hillary, Sen. Warren looks like a progressive dream...but that isn't saying much in the Democrat Party that we're stuck with these days. If we want real progressives that actually stand for people, peace, and the planet, then we're going to have to look somewhere other than the corporate sponsored two party "system." Capitalism is by definition toxic, and any party toxic enough to espouse capitalism is by definition, not progressive. This would have to include Sen. Warren's party. We need a voters' revolution. We need real choices, not just capitalist party A and capitalist party B. If we're going to save this planet, then we need to vote for real #SystemChange, not just more cheap talk as usual.

I see only Part 1 is still on the front page.....anyone wanting to view Part 2 can go to
Part 2 of Elizabeth Warren

If you want to know what is happening in clear terms listen to Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Straight in their talks and explains so all can understand.

I absolutely love that woman, women actually, both of them. I don't always get to Rachel's show so I get the segments emailed to me and I'm on Elizabeth's mailing list too. If there was one thing we could do to help get our country moving again it would be to provide free public education through a BA or BS degree, or vocational program. What an investment in our future that would be? Because our children ARE our infrastructure every bit as much as roads and bridges. The 80's began a horrible period in our history, one we should be ashamed of, and that caused the decline in achievement, even in the ability to attend post high school education. The exact opposite of what we should be doing. The 80's began the dollars before people horror that has engulfed this nation ever since. Our very own dark ages began with Ronald Reagan and flourished under Newt Gingrich and GWB. It is time we emerge, and Elizabeth is the person to lead us back into the light.

Why aren't we all on the same page? Oh yeah. FOX

So right you are Gene, you also said it in easy to understand way. Many Countries do just what you said, offer their citizens a free or at least low cost education right through a BA or BS or a Vocational Program. It benefits their Country overall, they "get it".....seems too many in our Country are so afraid of a penny going to someone else that they begin to be the penny saved and pound foolish. By investing in certain areas, the Country as the whole, which would include everyone, would be doing so much better. Heck we don't even invest in our roads and bridges anymore, we are a pitiful Country at this time in history.

no surprise the establishment has anointed Hillary as the successor to BO rather than this woman who tells the truth

Thanks so much for posting, Dandelion. I watched this "live" myself and am forever impressed by Sen. Warren. She also made the rounds at The Daily Show....that interview should be available at their website.
