While many have lived up to aid promises including the United States, which, at $3 billion, has funded nearly half the total humanitarian response. Several are delinquent, with Kuwait, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia leading.

Shame on you, Kuwait, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia! $335 million, that is peanuts!

So sad... And it's not only them...
And wealthy nations have homeless people too...
This global finance system must collapse soon...or else...more will follow I'm afraid.

We all have to fight against the 1%. They are the ones who want wars in order to earn money on us.
I am sending all my love to the people in Syria.

Very disappointing. These unfortunate people need help now. I'm not surprised about Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, they need the money to keep buying solid gold cars. I'm very disappointed with the UK and Netherlands.
As usual it's the Ol USA who is the most generous .

This is so shocking...I will have to check to see if Canada promised aid, which they should have!! I have often thought 'what if I was in their position', and I admit, I would be scared and doubt that I could be as strong as so many of the Syrians have shown. Man's inhumanity to Man!!!
Thank You Dandelion .

The greedy one-per-centers would rather spend their filthy lucre on fancy cars, fancy clothes, fancy jewelry, fancy furniture, and contributions to the war chests of the politicians whom they own, than feed starving refugees. I am getting further and further convinced that these people live their entire lives in La La Land's ivory towers, cocooned from reality. What happened the last time the super-rich insulated themselves from actuality with luxury and money?

Will do what I can. As for the rich creeps that are keeping these refugees funds away, may the money burn in their hands and pockets. They have no right keeping it. Thanks Dandelion

THANKS so much, Dandelion, for spreading the story I posted on the WFP and the Syrian refugees. The fact that there are so many people torn from their homes and their normal lives because of warfare, is hard to comprehend for me. The barbarity of war, waged by people could solve their differences in more intelligent ways, is astounding. Can any of us imagine our family being displaced, and wandering around trying to survive in Mexico or Canada, for instance?

Anyway, sufficient money was donated to continue funding the food vouchers for December, thanks to a massive expression of support from the public, the private sector and donor countries.

WFP Resumes Food Assistance To Syrian Refugees As Fundraising Drive Exceeds Goal

Feeding refugees is an ongoing problem, and it is possible to pledge a continuing monthly donation of even as small an amount as $1.

I must also add that it is too bad some countries did not honor their pledges for whatever reason.

I'm glad to read that their December goal was met, but it has to be nerve wracking for the agencies that depend on the monies coming in and even worse for the poor souls that depend upon this food.

As Judy said, this goes on monthly, so if anyone still wants to help they can do so.
