So much for draining the swamp.

Some wrote a comment below the Youtube video that I thought was brilliant.

What is each person's perception of what is in the swamp?

Mike Feng said "You liberals need to understand that your definition of "swamp" is wrong. To liberals, the swamp is filled by corporate sellouts, corrupted political insiders, lobbyists, science deniers, influence of big banks the military industrial complex.

Trump supporters know what the swamp is REALLY about: latte drinkers, gays, people who go to the opera, librarians, female bosses, people who say happy holidays instead of merry christmas, and poor people."

I normally place Meme's onto the Dandelion Seeds, but I can't do that anymore, and the Meme in the photo above is so small with the video. But the photo backs up what that person wrote. It show Trump handing out shovels to the alligators and in the background shows one of the alligators with the shovel about the hit a person over the head sitting in a boat fishing.

Elsewhere I read that swamp meant the educated and learned on the subject(s) at hand who thought facts mattered for decisions. Thanks Dandelion--Trump did at least once define it as Bernie and we understood it that was recorded for history.

Wish I could see that meme!!

And that's a great comment, Dandelion!

Bernie's right "We're into show business". That's the nail on the head.
We don't expect tele reality to be "fact" for everyone -

But the French have a saying "Promises only engage those who believe them" (i.e. - not those who make them). DT takes this to an incredible extreme.

Yes, we need a strong structure, rallying resistance & a way of holding up on the promises, demanding accountability.

Among other things - rejecting totally ANY conflict of interests - at any level.

So true, 'the swamp' means different things to different people & sadly US citizens who voted for the frump did a lot of assuming!

Feel the Bern, so glad he's there fighting for the people!

Dress shops in DC are doing less inaugural business than in the past and at least four democrats have announced they cannot stomach attending and requisite hypocritical behavior...Bernie is pushing on real infrastructure investment (Mitch's wife indicated that might be intended) as one area he could work with this administration. He seems to have become the voice of conscience and de facto leader for the democrats even though no such party position officially...and might be why Schumer is actually making some statements sounding stronger than his historical ones...

I read Trump is finding it difficult to get entertainers at the inauguration - many have been asked but refused. I hope this is a sign of rebellion that continues. Resist!

Resist? or maybe Resolve.

Resolute in pursuit of our values. Resolute in curbing our representatives, resolute in quashing special interest abuse of our political system, our representatives, our politicians, our government.

Champions of flexibility (seeking creative solutions), compromise (not cave in), building health (to fulfill our potential), progress (an improved standard of living for family, friends, community, society), knowledge (for confidence and competence), and science (to work with nature and ride its coat tails to prosperity) in pursuit of that light and gently guiding our stubborn emotionally stymied, frightened and belligerent from the negative and downward spiral of ignorance, and lead our compatriots out of and away from their stone age fears.

Best foot forward, YES WE CAN........and DRAIN THE SWAMP..........Its our country and we're gonna run it. How about that?

We are citizens and we know it. Trump has done us the favor of making the adversaries directly responsible for the success of those areas they are most opposed to. No more sniping from the sidelines and no more illicit, sneaky in the shadows undermining of our resources. They will be front and center with us in the drivers seat under the power of the federal government its laws underwritten by the constitution driven by the constituents.

Don't participate - give the country away. Do participate - take your place in one of the worlds most powerful constituencies.

B&B Bernie and Barack have been dropping hints, words of encouragement, revealing the key to power, more powerful than the presidency, more powerful than the senate, cabinet member and on and on.

Manipulated to believe that one vote won't matter. That works when we are isolated and come to believe that we don't matter. It is true that one vote may not matter, but what is also true is that many votes do matter and that collectively we matter more the viewpoint of any one politician or political party. We are in the drivers seat, we always were, we have been given the reins, we always had them. The control, the "check" on overreach and excess is that we must agree with one another. The power for the collective will and wisdom is deep and it serves as a check on single minded and self centered overreach.

Read between the lines, take the hint. Make America Great Again.

Dandelion, you continually prove your patriotic nature and commitment to what is best in all of us. Special thanks to you and others for keeping us strong and resilient by keeping us informed.

Vigilance when combined with knowledge will suppress malevolent evil doing. We do best when the choice is ours. America has always been heralded for its suborn independence. Heads up, chest out, stand on your own two feet, be bold.

All is far from lost. We are at a crossroads, we have been challenged, we can rise to the occasion and we have been give a great opportunity. This is Americas great awakening.

We can still demonstrate the Virtues of American values by how we use the blessings of our form of government and continue to encourage others. Leading by example and reach our potentials. We will not fall into the black hole, we will not be trapped by narrow minded greed, we will continue to be the envy of others in this world. Encouragement and support can be our mantra.

Make America Great Again, we are on our way.

Now I understand the revulsion Republicans have felt in the last 8 years. If you're attracted to oligarchy, if you hate civility, if you loathe hated Obama and fell in love with his antithesis. I understand this because I can't even look at a photo of the pumpkin plutocrat.

Thank you Marco, most kind of you. I just try to keep that light going.

I recall reading a story about the Trail of Tears and how the Fire Keeper kept a tiny ember of the original fire going. Somehow through rain, snow, wind, and the long physical walk, he kept that ember going so that they could light a new fire with it once they got to where they were being marched off to so that they would not forget who they were.

It only makes sense that Donald Trump would fill his cabinet with people from the world of business. It is his world, the one he knows best. On the other hand, Obama's cabinet was composed of a mix. Some were even elected officials. Obama's first Secretary of State had a net worth considerably higher than his own.

I will keep my eyes on Congress once Donald Trump takes the oath. Unless he has come under the thumb of the CIA, I think he will be more willing to negotiate with us than Obama has.

One thing for certain, Trump will not be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize at the beginning of his administration. I still think Obama should return his. He has not been the peace President from what I can tell.

Every power-possessor acts according to his or her own perception of how their believe the world operates and functions.

Businessmen and women are ONLY in it for the money, profit. You would have to grow some morality, ethics, some compassion and maybe, some conscience, to act differently.

This was to happen with Trump; here also happens, people are in the government because they are on the government's side and not because they are fit for that position, the corruption is disgusting
