As they say a picture states a thousand words and charts show in a quick glance a full story.

Poignant reminder--thanks Dandelion...
""In a mirror-image move, the top 1% commanded 12% of income in 1980 but 20% in 2014. The top 1% of US adults now earns on average 81 times more than the bottom 50% of adults; in 1981, they earned 27 times what the lower half earned."

The wealth was shifted to the top but when we speak about making the economy work for all the people too many fall into that, omg, they are taking money out of some hands to give to others. No, not out of the middle class hands out of the top 1% back to the middle class. The Oligarchy has certainly done a good job with the propaganda.

Yes, it certainly has. . . and the masses continue to absorb that propaganda as if it's real news, which is the terrifying and scary thing.

Shared news article and analysis over social media to raise and spread awareness.

"That's not a typo on the right. Incomes for the top 0.001% richest Americans surged 636% during the 34-year period. Wow."
This is not a sustainable future.

Is there a way to find the article anywhere else besides Business Insider? I registered with Business Insider a couple years ago; but, in all that time, I have only been able to read one article.

I'm not sure Donna, it's a chart so perhaps you can search engine the chart. Now I can't seem to pull up the article so I can't tell you the title of the chart.

This is both totally wrong on many levels and utterly unsustainable. The more people become aware of this vile injustice and insanity, the more will rise up to RESIST and PERSIST and demand an overhaul - maybe even replacement - of a badly broken system.

When the rich get richer at the expense of the working class, that's capitalism. When the working class rise up and call for justice, that's class warfare. Hell yes, THIS IS CLASS WARFARE - and the fat cats started it.
