We know little about him so I can't comment on him but I hope can do a better job than our federal and state energy ministers who have left ours in a deplorable condition. Our electricity prices are unsustainable . .Thousands who cannot afford to pay have had their energy cut off. This is due to our excessive overseas exports reducing what we need , the closure of coal mines ,and over reliance on alternative energy sources which are owned by foreign companies ,are expensive to operate and are costing taxpayers billions of dollars.

Sorry to read Walter that your Country seems to be doing similar things that our Country has been doing. We are further down the road than you on these practices that has helped only a few get wealthy at the expense of the people and the Nation overall.

What this article is about is putting the fox in charge of the hen house - guess you know how that story goes

We need someone whose interest is the good of the people, the country and the environment - not just another stooge of Big Fossil Fuel - in charge of our energy regulatory commission. This is like putting a known neo-Nazi in charge of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Thanks for posting this important information, Dande. It's the sort of in-depth analysis we can no longer expect from most of the U.S. media since Reagan began deregulating it.

Trump is being consistent in at least two or even three areas.
1. He's hiring people who have no sense of reality and want to effectively dismantle an America with check and balances.
2. He's consistent in his inconsistencies.
3. He's following the pursuit of a right-wing ideology; divisive, destructive, terminal by policy.

Got that correct. I hope we all survive to begin the task of cleaning up this mess.

#45 needs to be impeached or resign before he can do any more damage. I shudder to think how long it will take to undo the damage he has already done.

Our selected president is trying to place people in position that will enable the future enrichment of the Trump crime family, his cohorts and, fellow business people.
This, unfortunately, is not surprising. All during the primaries, the being who is our national embarrassment banged on about "draining the swamp."
Now that he has been selected for office he and his administration has only done things to enrich themselves and to tear apart our country. While considering himself to be always the smartest person in any room, the selected one has no clue as to the depth of his ignorance and stupidity. It is, however, revealed more and more on a daily basis.
