The SEP will fight to build a mass movement to force the Australian govt to fulfil its obligations to Assange. It must compel the British govt to allow Assange to leave the country and return to Australia, with a guarantee against extradition to the USA.

I also posted for the photo his address if you care to write to him. Can't send photos via messages anymore.

While many on the "left" did have sympathy for Julian Assange when he released the Iraq footage that at the time Bradley Manning, now Chelsea Manning exposed - and the Right hated him for doing it. Things flipped around when the release of emails showed Hillary's campaign reflected dirty pool against Bernie. The Hillary Democrats now dislike him but the Trump people were all grateful to Wikileaks then.

Once Trump got elected he turned on Julian Assange because he knows Wikileaks plays no favorite, that it exposes the dirt no matter where it comes from, what Party or what Nation. Is why the 1% and those in the power hate him and want to do away with him. But he is a publisher, no different from New York Times or other publications, only he uses the internet. And Wikileaks was much braver - doing the work that all of a free press should be doing.

So except for those of us on the far left who tend to get into the weeds a little deeper, Julian Assange and Wikileaks don't have too many supporters. A shame because the failure of people to understand this and what Julian Assange represents is another nail in their own coffin of having a true democracy.
