I was only a young girl when South Korean soldiers came to fight in my country of Vietnam as an ally of the United States during Vietnam War. At the time, my family owned a small tea shop near a Korean military base. Both my mother and I were raped...

Shocking untold story of consequences of American involvement in disastrous war....
WAR IS A RACKET, benefitting ONLY the Arms Manufacturers.....

"For more than 40 years, the South Korean government has not recognized these atrocities committed by their soldiers during the war -- but I will no longer accept their silence.

Only 800 survivors like me are estimated to be alive today. Our children are the Lai Dai Han, or mixed Vietnamese and Korean blood. We have struggled for decades without a formal apology, acknowledgement, or reparations from the Korean Government. I fear that soon there will be no one left to tell our stories and that we will be forgotten.

We survivors and Lai Dai Han also want to look ahead. While we are old, we want to have hope for the futures of children and grandchildren. We urge you to issue a sincere and deep apology for the crimes committed against us and our families and to consider reparations for the decades of hardship we have faced.
With that, we wish to move forward with the dignity of recognition."

Were the Korean soldiers the only ones to commit the heinous atrocities? The vehement protests all over the world marked the ^0s of the last century. Outrage burst forth within the USA while the public raised their voice against the Vietnam policy of the USA , the aerial bombings on thickly populated areas , arsons , not to speak of the rapes , mutilation of the women after rapes. The South Koreans were just a nut in the whole operation over decades

The JUDGE was in Brazil, and the particular CASE was from the DRC, the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
But, obviously, this case has INTERNATIONAL Implications.
===================
Basabi:
Yes, American soldiers CERTAINLY COMMITTED RAPES ALSO, during the Viet Nam War. The photos and stories from the well-known My Lai Massacre, as just ONE example, expose those atrocities.

To consider ONE set of Victims, does NOT "negate" in any way, or deny in any way, the OTHER Victims and Survivors.
Few people - certainly not I, and I was an anti-Vietnam-War Activist! - even KNEW that there were South Korean "Allies" fighting with American troops in Viet Nam.
One group of Asians set to fighting another group of Asians, on behalf of the U.S.!, when THAT COUNTRY OF SOUTH KOREA HAD NO STAKE IN THE OUTCOME OF THE WAR, at all!!!!! The U.S. must have BRIBED OR COERCED OR BULLIED the S. Korean govt in some way!!! "Anti-Communism" and all that!!! So S. Korea sent their Soldiers to fight, to die and to kill, FOR NO GOOD REASON, no possible advantage.....

This Petitions EXPOSES BOTH the South Korean govt and soldiers' role in the disgraceful, unpopular, and OUR-SIDE-LOSING War - AND, the heinous CRIMES of our "Allies" in ADDITION to our own, which have already been exposed, altho they can never be exposed ENOUGH, NOR has Compensation for them ever been made; REPARATIONS are in order... but don't hold your breath!

Thanks BMutiny TCorporationsEvil For helping me with the knowledge of the total picture of the Vietnam war. In fact we all knew about your part of the story, we didn't know that you had S korea with you as partners of crime. So this viet lady's story took me aback at first. But let me pay my regards to you for being one of the activists we adored in our youth. I would like to add that Prof Sisir Gupta the first Indian ambassador to Hanoi was my own uncle.
