These places make me SICK!! Why not just get down there enmasse and 'confiscate' the animals. It has been done here before and courts have ruled in favour if the animals are being mistreated or neglectd. If she has no permit that is enough grounds to get them OUT!!

I surely hope they find this McElroy woman, and in a hurry. I am actualy glad she's running. This makes her look very guilty, and may hopefully increase the severity of her punishment. But, they'll find her. Remember the motto of the RCMP, They always get their man/woman!!

I noted it and will forward around to all my Care2 friends.Definitely needs to be high priority.......It's always been a dream of my to have a wildlife refuge and it seems like these people that have the precious God's creatures just get their prioriites screwed up!Let's all pray and bond together and hopefully this story too will have a happy ending..when people join together in peace and love and common goals things get done...we have a saying in red-neck country,we get it done whatever it takes, with not harm no animals,of course,us humans may get a little scratced up physically.

Tina a wildlife refuge is one thing, a zoo is something entirely different. If these people stop making money by no-one frequenting them they would soon close down. You can bet!!

The WORLD society etc? This is all very sad but nothing compared with what is happening to animals in the WORLD outside America nd Northern Europe. I get SICK of stories...which are heart rending of course.........but in the "civilised" world, you have NO IDEA what goes on outside!!!!!! PLEASE think about not giving your money to charities which are WELL supported in America and Northern Europe and instead look to the places where your dollar/pound/euoro would REALLY make a difference. For example, in Portugal (where I live) there is not even legislation to protect animals....if you want to starve, beat your animal to death, there is nothing to stop you doing that! We do not have national or ever regional charities. A dog is dying by the roadside...someone might kick it into the gutter....a horse looks like a coat rack....nobody cares and it just drops dead.....a stray cat scraps in the bins for food..........it's a nuisance, stick it in a bucket of acid.........it happens evey day and there are no laws to stop it. At least you have legislation.

Well, first of all, it makes no sense to keep a kangaroo in Ontario! Gone are the days when children could only learn about animals by seeing them in zoos! Watching them on television as they are in nature is so much more educational. I vote for an end to zoos all together! kangaroos belong in Australia! All zoos stink! Get rid of them! Free the animals!

Thankyou Mantha for sharing this sad news! The video on Tyson is so heartbreaking! Why can't someone just cut the cage, and release him, get him medical treatment and have him taken to a healthier environment for Kangaroos?? I don't understand!!!!! Why are people not breaking into that zoo to release our beloved poor, neglected animals??? I wish I lived there, because I would do just that, and long ago!!!!!! I'm disgusted, and this woman needs to pay a price, and not moneywise !!!!!!

I also feel that if Tyson has passed on, that this would be a blessing for him, for he would be in a much better place, and he would be healthy, happy, and hoppin allllllllllll over paradise in Heaven.
