Excellent timing as far as the UK and EU is concerned. The vote today gave individual states the right to ban GMOs but unfortunately there is still a lot to sort out and lobby for so this will scare the hell out of the dim wits who still think this technology is safe. The evidence does not support their claims of safety.

You have been living with them for almost 30 years now. There is no difference between a GMO and a NonGMO as you eat it.

You still don't get it do you Kyle? If you and Brian want to eat this crap then fine. But find another planet to do it on and stop telling blatant lies about it. GMOs are completely different toanything that has gone before in terms of plant breeding. Regardless of your lies the truth is out there. 55 million+ Americans say no to GMOs you and Brian say yes. Who do you think is telling the truth here? I doubt 55 million Americans are born liars and I also know theyare not dumb stupid idiots either. You can believe what youwantbut I suggest you and Brian stop the clap trap before someone gives you both a right verbal dressing down. It won't be pleasant I'm sure but I know itwon't be me. You have wasted far too much of my time with your pathetic arguments. Time for you to move on. Good day.

My blood pressure is lower than most of my age and it really takes a lot to boost it up to the average thankfully. But thanks for caring. :-)

Kyle, you sound like you're trying to convince yourself there is nothing harmful about GMOs and the poison they spread. Are you feeling guilty about your role in poisoning the planet?

You sure aren't convincing anyone here with your repeated lie, I suggest you save your cheer leading for some other forum, you are convincing no one.

You even lie about the length of time since GMOs were introduced to us without our permission.

Kevin, 85% of people don't care if products are GMO or not. Some of us have actually done the research, know people that do the research so we know. At least one on here actually worked in the fields, does everything from choosing what varieties to plant, the actual planting of the crop all the way to harvesting it. That is what every farmer does, they choose what gives the best production, what is safest to deal with weed control. Farmers choose GMO because it is the safest method of weed control for the user, applicator and the land and has no carryover issues. That is why GMO has 90+% of the acres it is available in. We still remember the issues we had to deal with before GMO came along, it was a complete headache when it came to weed control, the handling of the herbicides involved which are many times more toxic than glyphosate. If slim chance lose GMO, it will be back to spraying herbicides 3-5 times instead of 2 times with less effective herbicides, which burn the crops leaves, 30% less production, additional cultivations which cause soil erosion, compaction. GMO soybeans with maturities in my area came in 1996, almost 10 years after their introduction in later maturities. Corn has been GMO since the mid 80's. didn't see corn this far north till 2004 die to to short of a season, all corn sold is indeed GMO. There has been no research done in non gmo soybean varieties in 15 years due to lack of demand due to poor yields, weed problems associated with non gmo.

Due to high demand, GMO sugarcane is on it's way, first starting in S.A.

'Due to high demand, GMO sugarcane is on it's way'

Who is demanding this? Not the people who eat it, that's for sure! What a load of piffle!

Julie, the cane processors and farmers want it because it yields more and much of S.A. sugarcane goes towards ethanol production.
