A government-appointed group of top nutrition experts, assigned to lay the scientific groundwork for a new version of the nation's dietary guidelines, decided earlier this year to collect data on the environmental implication of different food choices.

Without the environment, what can we rely on?

"When we tug at a single thing in nature, we find it attached to the rest of the world." -John Muir

I can't think of a better quote to relate this issue to. Of course what we eat has an effect on the environment. Our food IS the environment, more or less so. Maybe the nutritionists and environmentalists should work together to come to some conclusion. What then can congress say to abrogate their studies?

Another reason head lice and bedbugs are more popular than Congress.

I'm the last to want to want to holler "Uncle". Doesn't it appear to anyone else we are doomed ? Corporate interest have led this country for decades. with a lineup of corporate welfare. More companies will be going to Vietnam now that China's wages have risen a bit. Isn't FREE TRADE wonderful ?
In order to provide more subsidies to corporations making obsene profits......more social benefits are due to be cut and more sacrifices made by those who work and those unlucky to have part time work or none at all. Ain't this a wonderful country ?

We need to know. How do we justify cutting off one part of needed information just because Congress says so? They've been doing this for decades, now. Acting as if we don't know what's going on, yet trying to tell the President what to do. Since it's not a law, not even a legal move, let's hope the President has more sense and doesn't listen.

As if Congress is highly qualified to determine scientific effects of food on the environment. They have their heads in the GMO seeds and dust bowl of life. Peace, love and flowers in the universal flow of life.

The TEAPUBLICAN COMEDY CLUB, doesn't want the populous to know anything about nutrition, for obvious reasons.
