The pro-GMO scientist Kevin Folta claims that people attack his integrity because they can't attack his science. But in reality, he makes many bogus-and extremely dangerous-statements in the name of science. Chief among these is his pronouncement on...

Mr 'Faulty GM Science' Folta is a liability to humanity. It is one thing to stand by your scientific facts but it is another completely different liability to make up the information as you go along simply to further ones own career. He clearly has no thought for the future of his students nor any consideration for the nightmare he and his cohorts in the biotech industries will unleash upon us all if he and they are allowed to continue with their corporate sponsored bullshit science.
Lets hope that we are turning a corner in this long travesty of quack science.
While I am on the subject of GMOs the latest breaking news is that Wales (UK) have banned the cultivation of GM crops in the entire nation of Wales. 8 GMO crops are being lined up to be banned as I type. Well done the Welsh Folks who now join Scotland and Northern Ireland in imposing a national ban on GMO crop cultivation. All we need now is the English to kick the tory party in the fork and ban GMO crops here too. But somehow I cannot see that happening anytime soon as the tories have their snouts in the corporate trough. tories in UK = Republicans in the US. Same politics and same policies. Rich get richer and the poor get stomped on.

The rest of the world is smarter than the USA - or maybe they just don't have politicians who have sold us out.
Mr. Folta should know there are always consequences for deceiving the innocent.

"...people attack his integrity because they can't attack his science." Beside the fact that he is wrong, his "science" is eminently attackable, doesn't the statement imply he knows darned well his "integrity" is vulnerable to attack?

Very good point Joanne. It sounds very much like he is trying to play everyone for fools and expects their sympathy for being a very bad scientist as well as a very deceptive conman. All good things come to those who wait and we have been waiting a long time for this. :-)

The taste alone would be enough to keep anyone from really drinking it. Kind of like drinking the saltwater from great salt lake in Utah. It won't do harm, but the salt intake alone would be just nasty.

For the record glyphosate is not even a salt like the sort you would find in seawater. http://www.pan-uk.org/pestnews/Actives/glyphosa.htm
In fact seawater is completely diferent.
http://www.marinebio.net/marinescience/02ocean/swcomposition.htm
And the content of the Great Salt Lake in Utah is similar to that of the ocean.http://geology.utah.gov/popular/general-geology/great-salt-lake/commonly-asked-questions-about-utahs-great-salt-lake-lake-bonneville/#toggle-id-13 check out the question on chemical composition of the salt Lake.

Just comparing taste is all. And in case your wondering how I know is because of some splashback that happened once. So, YES it is a VERY salty taste so why would anyone diliberately drink something so salty.

Well now isn't that the whole point that was being made? Mr Faulty Science Folta suggests that its harmless and so much so that you could drink it. Surely the entire point is that he is giving totally dangerous advice to people and the truth is glyphosate based herbicides, whether Roundup or other manufacturers concoctions, are dangerous and have been proven so scientifically. Mr Faulty Science Folta is behaving wrecklessly with his so called scientific opinions. Its timeheshut up before his Flawed advice Kills someone.

Truth is, you would have to drink 3 gallons of it to kill you.... If you can get over the extremely salty taste. Now compare that to energy drinks.. Energy drinks you would be dead after one gallon.
