Bayer, the enormous German pharmaceutical and chemical company, made news recently when it simply refused the EPA's request to cancel one of its products, a pesticide the EPA says is unsafe.

"...Bayer, in its ballsy refusal to listen to the EPA, is proving just how bad these things are."

Noted. Thanks for posting this info, Kathy.

So, we have the Corporations that are not highly taxed, spending all their money on lobbying and writing bills to protect themselves; which a GOP-Corporate-Loving Congress passes. (Not forgetting the Corporate-owned Democrats who are more than happy to go along). Sometimes they just sneak these items into other bills to get them passed. And, the E.P.A. has not been properly funded far too long. The GOP has succeeded in weakening it to the point they wanted "where it can be so small it can be drowned in a bathtub."
Whatever was begun under the Bush Regime has been made worse through neglect or intention by Obama, which is hugely disappointing. We can't go on like this much longer......

They refuse? Well, aren't they special? It shouldn't be request but an order to stop selling them. They need to get over themselves and act responsibly.

Lois Jordan nails the situation, globally. Corruption in corporate-owned US government. Thanks Kathy.

Noted. Thank You Kathy. I am not really surprised at this as Bayer is a Big Corp. But in this case when the EPA tells them to stop, they should be made to listen. GREED globally!

Bayer refused to VOLUNTARILY withdraw it - if the EPA really means it they should just order them.
You cannot force anyone to do something voluntarily.

See? This is what happens when you give huge corporations too much power!
