I know in my heart that this man is in Heaven, David Care2 has suffered a great loss. We will all miss you but your heart and love for us will never leave us.

For peoples information David was a big Believer of the fourth Amendment 'The right to bear arms'
And when I had the pleasure to speak with David on the phone, he felt his live was at risk then and claimed he was constantly harrassed by the police because of his views.
I am sure there is more to this story then what the news is telling us.

But you will never be forgotten David, The candle is lit and is for you my friend, See you Soon

I didn't know David, but this is no way to die. He sounds like a very together man, so I his brother killed him? Geez, some families are so messed up, including mine-most are dysfunctional btw, 99% so doesn't that tell you something? It's because we are all human and no humans are perfect. But murder is beyond the pale. Rest in Peace my friend I never got to meet. Noted and Forwarded several times.

David died a MARTYR for the cause of Peace. His death was not an act of random or domestic violence, I don't believe it. David said, before his death, that his life was being threatened. It couldn't have been threatened at that time, by his brother, with whom he was thinking of starting a firing range! According to an e-mail he sent shortly before his death.
This shows all Peace Activists, that death threats are to be taken seriously.
I repeat, David is a MARTYR for the cause of Peace; and is to be honored as such.
He died, as a Veteran who knew what war IS, to STOP THE WAR and prevent others from dying!
That is something that can never be taken away from him!

There is something with every law enforcement agency in the State of Texas. I see that CBS 11 news is blaming the victim for his murder. I have known David for years, and he has not to my knowlege ever been arrested. This whole deal sounds like a government who done it cover up. And it would not surprise if the federal government was not involved in his murder.

Care2 had been comprised two years ago, and most of us have been under surveillance for our opposition to the war in Iraq and Bush's policies, his lies and corruption, along with the rest of his cabal of corrupt criminals whom he protects such as Alberto (the torturer) Gonzales.

The reason I suspect the government is involved is because David was Bush's worst enemy. He always had to courage to speak out against the war, and he always stood by his conviction. It makes no sense that his brother would murder him if they were planning to opening a gun range. Also if David was indeed convicted of illegal wepaons charges he would not be allowed a license to open the range. There is really something fishy about the CBS 11 report. They made sure to mention he had a criminal record. They didn't have to say that, but they wanted to minimize his death. Sorry buch of bastards!!!

I just love David. So straight. So honest. So brave. My heart is just broken. I have what he sent me about Vets for Peace and the address written by his own hand. I cannot believe they have killed him. They have because he was a peace activist. They do that don't they, kill people? Martin Luther King, for one. And now David. It is such a shock.

Ok now this is getting way off track 1st of all it was brother MARK who had the criminal record!!!!!!!!!! NOT DAVID !!!!!!!!! Mark is the perfect patsy to be charged, because of that, BUT did he do it or is he being framed. TEXANS MUST BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT HOW THEY PRECIEVE THINGS LIKE THIS, REASON being the DEATH penalty!!!!!! Would that happen, Yes and then the cover up is complete and both men are gone and the problem is over for the BUSHNICS

I called the police department in Flower Mound to see if any charges have been brought against David's brother or anyone and was told that NO press release has been given yet. So even though the stories we have read have quotes from police officers, the officer I spoke to said they are not official releases. He told me that if I call tomorrow they should be able to me what they know so far because they are "hping" to give out a press release then. But he wouldn't even give me the name of the detective "working" on the case.

I. others, simply dont believe this happened like we are being told. I certainly do not believe the email that David was quitting his work that he loved so muych and was so committed to in order to open up a gun range with his brother. He would have said something about this to one of us.

I want them to know that at least one person outside of good ole texas is watching. If anyone else wants the number to the police department it is Flower Mound Police 972-539-0525. He ask who I was in relation to him and I just told him that as you are aware David did Peace work and I am a friend and he has friends that he has worked with all over the states and we are all shocked by his death and need to know what happened exactly because we are getting very confusing reports. So I don't think they will be surprised if the calls start pouring in. You may want to block your number though I didn't block mine. I figure the more open I am the better.

I will leave an update as soon as I have one.

I did not know David watching the news story he was referred to as a Patriot, Navy Veteran and a PEACE ACTIVIST. They inferred that at first that his public activism against the war in Iraq might have led to his murder. You do not get that type of press by sitting back and silently opposing the war. Especially in Texas.
It not only is a tragedy to his friends here at Care2 but the men and women that serve in the military as well as the Citizens of Iraq as well. This man was a true Hero . I googled Davids name and came up with over {*90} *references to his work as a Activist.

That he was near to you
so many a year
But darkens you distress.
Would you he were
less worthy and less dear
That you might grieve the less?

He was a golden font
that freely poured
What goldenly endures,
And though that font be gone,
its bounty stored
and treasured,
Still is yours.

The past is deathless.
Souls are wells too deep
To spend their purest gains.
All that he gave to you
is yours to keep
While memory remains.
Who never had and lost
forlorn are they
Far more that you and I
Who had and have
Judge not the price we pay
For love that cannot die.

Texas Ranger Tracy Murphree and sheriff's Deputy Larry Kish drove to a cul-de-sac called Woodlands Court in nearby Trophy Club. As they arrived, a black Ford pickup was pulling out of the driveway. The only clean spot on the truck was the driver's side door "the likely place where blood would have fallen," according to the affidavit. The door appeared to have been wiped down, authorities said.

Ranger Murphree approached the driver, who identified himself as Mark Honish, records show. Mr. Honish said he was leaving for work as an airline pilot. The ranger told Mr. Honish that his brother had been shot and killed.

Mr. Honish replied: "He has been threatening me, but you probably know that from looking at the e-mail in his truck," according to the affidavit. Ranger Murphree never told him the victim was shot in the truck, the affidavit says.

The ranger noticed six drops of blood on the driver's side of the truck's running board, mud on a tail pipe that matched mud from the crime scene and a tire tread pattern that matched the cast, arrest documents show.

The investigators arrested Mark Honish and charged him with his brother's murder. Mr. Honish was being held Friday in Flower Mound Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

My prayers go out for David and I'll light a candle. Very sad.
The news article had the hint of a smear campaign. What was the need to go into detail about his weapons arrests? Why show his picture in front of a police height chart for booking criminals? If only the media could have been more forthcoming about the foul deeds of the neo-cons. I smell foul republican play.

I have been thinking heavily on this story, is it possible that the someone else, who considered David a thorn in their side, killed David and framed the brother?
It does not make sense for David to tell several Care2 members that he was going to open a business with his brother if they were at odds with each other.
So my thought is the someone else killed David and set his brother up, thereby getting rid of two Second amendment activists. This makes clearer sense to me then his brother shooting him.
And if his brother did shoot him, shouldn't it just be overlooked and not prosecuted like in Cheney's illegal use of firearms in the state of Texas? Why prosecute? you didn't Cheney

This is very sad, especially if his brother did do it. But that is doubtful, since BMutiny T. has sent us many things on David's death. It does seem odd, I hope we/they really found who did this and make them pay. May he have an even better life in his death than he had when he was with us. Today I talked to a member of the local Vetrans For Peace group that David belonged to. I am trying to find out something about the funeral arrangements. No one knows anything about a funeral or memorial service. I believe David was originally from Wisconsin but I don't know if he has any family there, so I don't know if the body is still here in town or if he has been flown somewhere else. When I talked to the VFP member today, we commented on how the media is treating this. He has had 3 newspapers contact him to comment on David. He asked the Fort Worth Star Telegram why the media was so interested in David. He was told it is because it happened in Flower Mound and there just isn't much crime in Flower Mound. Interesting. I thought the local paper would have an obituary today (Sunday) and give information regarding the funeral, but there is nothing. When I was with David on Memorial Day, there was a man with a video camera taping us. (as well as all the other demonstrators) We didn't know who he was but we assumed he was from the local paper which is owned by Belo Copr. which also owns Channel 8 in Dallas and several other newspapers, radio stations etc.But there wasn't any mention of the demonsration even in the local paper. (Denton Record Chronicle) I know I miss David. He was a good man with strong convictions. We didn't always agree, but that's ok. Rest in peace David. Your time on this earth left a positive impact on a lot of people, and I believe that defines a successful life. I will never forget what Cardinal Cushing said at the funeral of John F. Kennedy. I was a 13 year old boy at the time. Cardinal Cushing said that it is not a tragidy when someone dies young, it is a tragidy when someone dies and did nothing with their life. David Honish did a lot of good with his life.

According to an update in the Dallas paper, they found an e-mail next to David in his truck, where he was angry with, and swore at, his brother. Oh-how-convenient! Something extremely weird about that. Shot over an e-mail? If they have the Death Penalty in the State of Texas, they can USE that to THREATEN the brother into making a plea-bargain "confession". That way the brother, Mark, will only get a prison sentence; and the REAL perpetrators will never be investigated! "Case closed."
David was a great believer in the Second Amendment; and saw bearing arms as not contradictory to his Peace Work. This would startle some Quakers I know; but things are that way in Texas. I broadened my point of view because of David.
