I'm an old man ... at the end of my rope ... perhaps even nearer to the very end than I know? If you can note, shared and even donate, that would be fantastic!

So very sad. Unfortunately, we are going to be seeing a whole lot of this for the next four years especially if Der Fuhrer and Any Rand Ryan have their way with Social Security and Medicare. Shared and noted.

Not only just the next four years, we've been seeing this with the Democrats in office too. Hence why a lot of people didn't vote for the Democrats because they are not helping the working man or woman no more than the GOP. And the Dem's nor the GOP are helping the poor, disabled, those who are Elders.

I just read an article the other day how a disabled woman in her fifties was kicked out of the Elder Housing because she was late on one month rent. Kicked out in Nov and found frozen to death in January n parking garage. She had a mental illness and yet still thrown out into the streets. Couldn't her income been tapped to pay her rent each month?

I know if people owe the credit card companies they can take it right out of wages if she had income she couldn't manage due to her mental illness why couldn't her rent be direct paid? No one helps anyone so she is dead, thrown out onto the streets with winter coming on, and she lived in Oregon - you know the State right below Canada; therefore it gets cold there. So she froze to death.

This man is in NH, it is cold there too, and as he lives in the Live Free or Die State, (GOP controlled) he'll get to have the later become his reality, he'll die. If he is lucky he might find some way to get into MA and fight with the others who are homeless for a shelter bed. But at least they had a ruling in MA that if the shelters were full and it was below a certain temperature, the State had to find someplace to get one out of the cold. At least it is how it was when I moved away in 99. With the GOP Governor in MA, who knows if that liberal State is as it once was.

I'd like to forward this on C2 but my ability has been removed from me. It might be a glitch to the Staff but it could mean someone I sent it to might of been able to help this man. I know other things I've sent off on C2 has been helpful and has received help - now I can offer but my prayers.

Very sad, thanks for posting Darren, and fwd Rosie, have tweeted, and made a small donation, wish I could have done more,
Last Thursday night I didn't get home until 1:am, after going to B'ham to give out warm clothing and flasks with hot soup in, to the people who sleep on the streets,- if you have a homeless shelter any where near you, and you have clothes , boots, socks you no longer need, Donate them to a homeless shelter, for people who have nothing..
Homelessness is a growing problem, with no solutions to the root cause of why people become "rough sleepers" / homeless
. Just a small donation for this unfortunate man, will show him there are people who care, in an increasingly harsh and uncaring world, - love, hugs, - praying for a miracle for all homeless people,-" there but for the Grace of God -go I" , x wendy k x & kelly cats xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dems nor rep never have had any intentions of helping the poor. They offer crumbs where bread is needed. This has given rise to alternatives. the good, Bernie, the bad, trump, and the ugly, trump again. 2 out of 3 trump wins again.

So sad this is happening with so many people around the world, wish all the Governments would build more low cost places for these people to live in, in Melbourne they have been clearing the streets of the homeless so the city looks lovely for all the internationals attending the the Australian open, they did the same in Sydney for the Olympics, Hope this dear man is soon back on his feet. I know what it is like living week by week. Thank you for caring and sharing Darren

Sorry to rock the boat, but this seems like a scam. Anyone who was a tarot card reader and 'The Pardoner' selling pardons to the seven deadly sins, is a con artist, prepared to rip off folk. Sure, he may be needy, but anyone who actually has done those types of 'jobs' is dubious in my eyes. Not liking this, Darren.

Darran thanks for sharing, I donated a small amount, but I think in a Place like the US things like this should not happen. Poor people we have them all around, but they do not live on the street, because there is help
from churches, etc.One thing is certain, to get homeless has always a sad story behind.
Here started SALE now and most of the people buy things they have already. Why not donating the out of fashion one . If I remember right there is a place in the US on a reck people put coats, cloths etc. for people in need. what a wonderful idea.In Vermont where my girlfriend lives, everybody leaves the things outside as take away,
I am just thinking where is the cat now, who is looking after her? I cross my fingers.

I can't use GoFundMe,neither Portugal or Norway are linked up to that site.

The problem is that there is simply too many persons who needs this help and in USA they have no Social Security network and there is plenty enough to blaim the political system/GOP and Dems for this.Bernie could have fixed this but he never got the chance.

For those of you who can't donate, it would really REALLY help if you can LIKE the page, PLUS share it over your own social networks. I am currently sharing over facebook, google+, Linkedin, Pinterest, and Tumblr.

Also, an update, Paul's mobility has decreased and he's on the verge of requiring an operation. A neighbor of his, is helping with shopping, and some household tasks.

His neighbor friend, and a fellow CARE2 member here, is going to research Elderly Housing Accommodation for him. Unfortunately, in the state he's in, not all thinking is proceeding in a logical common sense fashion.

Please continue to share the links on the page over facebook and twitter if you have access.

Once again, I begin with an apology for not updating more frequently and not yet sending thank yous to some of my generous donors. I'm sorry. I've been ill.

My deteriorating condition -- especially the rapidly escalating back pain -- convinced the docs to advance my date for surgery ... and I went into the hospital on the last day of January. But a CT scan and an MRI the next day revealed the back pain to have a semi-independent cause from the problems with my gut. They discovered an abscess in the psoas muscle ... which had passed its infectious material along into some spinal bone -- osteomyelitis. So, I spent 11 days in hospital getting some high-test IV antibiotics and lots of pain killers. I came home on both of these therapies -- giving myself IV antibiotics every afternoon, still taking lots of percocet. Doing better with a walker than with the hiking staff! In a slow way, the pain seems to be diminishing ... so I'm going in the right direction.

Meanwhile, removal of the sigmoid colon has been postponed until all the infection in me has been cleared up -- which presumably will be after 3 more weeks of antibiotics. By the way, I said the back pain had a "semi-independent cause" because it's the hypothesis of the infectious disease specialist that a small perforation in the colon transferred material to the psoas muscle and it passed it on to the bone. If the bowel resection had been done in November, as I wanted it to be, all of these other problems would never have arisen.

Amidst all of this, percocet has kept my mind too fogged to even look at this page before today. I'd think of it ... but it meant I had to switch chairs (which hurts) ... and would drowse off, dreaming of doing it tomorrow. It's with great delight that I note there's already enough funds for me to get more than clear with the landlord! Hooray and thank you!

As you can tell from the above, I'm in for several more hard months ... and I'm still hoping to reach the goal of making the landlord happy for a year.

With that in mind, the greatest help you can render (for free) is to spread this link creatively. Into networks, social circles, groups, countries, etc. etc. where my initial seed can never blow on its own. I'm really only on Facebook ...and, even there, I have limited connections. If you post the link anywhere else, you'll be sure to hit a NEW audience! The kindness necessary to donate to a cause like mine might be found in anyone ... if only enough people become aware of the opportunity.

Meanwhile, if I haven't gotten around to thanking you for your donation yet, please be patient ... and know that I'm already grateful!

If you're able to donate anything to his GoFundMe page it would be appreciated.

Otherwise, sharing the page over your own friend network would be more than appreciated.

Thanks.
