How sad that she was only noticed after neighbours complained about the" DIY" noise coming from her apartment!

I find this a horrible reminder of how our present society has gone wrong! People nowadays no longer know their neighbours properly. They live next door and don't even know they have been locked in a bathroom for three weeks!! Where was this ladies' family? How come nobody thought it was strange that they hadn't seen or heard from her for so long? This should be a wake-up call for us to look our for our neighbours.... To check up on elderly people living alone. We should make it our priority to find out people in our neighbourhood, who might need someone to drop in every now and then to make sure that they are okay. We should look out for one another. This world needs more care and love and friendship. we can start with our neighbours and try to look outward to see how we can help others, instead of just thinking of ourselves and our own needs. If you are a city dweller it may be more difficult to know the people around you and some people may shun your efforts to be friendly, but that should not stop us from reaching out to others.

I agree with you Nicky. Even family members dont communicate anymore. Ccan you imagine isolation for this long period. This must be a terrible story to tell. This reminds me of all the millions of animals/ puppy mills / lab animals / zoos / circusses / mass farm production / Chicken egg industry and much more - THEY CAN NOT TELL THEIR STORY OF MISERY IN THEIR SMALL PRISONS

Good to hear she survived her ordeal but it is surprising that no family or friends missed her for 20 days, never mind her neighbors. Thank you, Anna.

When I was a nurse in ICU we had someone that had been stuck on the toilet for 4 days. The toilet seat had broken while she was sitting on it and she was stuck there. She was able to reach the sink so she used the back of her brush to get water to drink. She was in ICU for 2 months before she died!
