We are told about obesity being an early killer but if you do have the luck to live longer your body does not remain the same and there are vital things that everyone needs. Not every policy covers check ups and yet they keep telling you about early intervention, such as in cancer. You may feel fine, cannot or do not want to pay for a check up, while something fatal is developing in your body. The insurance industry are hypocrites.

I don't think our insurance premiums should pay for in vitro...look at octomom...who is supporting her and her brood now?
I don't think it should pay for Viagra either or cosmetic procedures.

There are life-threatening problems that can be pre-existent and they should be covered, as should any life-threatening illness.
Our insurance has great preventive coverage!

As for obesity....that's s symptom of our ailing food supply and the hormones, antibiotics and chemical additives. We must demand that the government clean up our food supply!

INSURANCE S SUPPOSED TO
HELP US PAY FOR THE TRULY
OUTRAGEOUS EXPENSES OF
ANY PROCEDURES ETC.,..
BUT INSTEAD ... THEY RIP US
OFF JUST TO PADD THEIR OWN
POCKETS AT OUR EXPENS. HOW
SAD FOR US ...

I agree insurance shouldn't cover IVF. That is not a necessary thing. More things would be nice however - hearing impairmean that is correctable with aides could be on the list. No help there either.

Nothing said about Hearing Aids at about $2,000.ea ($4,000 pr) not covered by insurance. Old age
sets in and most people get hard of hearing and especially with this new age group will get worse as they get older.

There are many things my insurance should cover but doesn't, and if the Republicans get their way on repealing health care, I'll be up a creek for years to come. How about they give me the same coverage they get as elected officials?

Probably because healthcare is being run as a 'for profit' business, with shareholders to consider; it should, instead, be run as a comprehensive public service, covering all American States, and free at the point of use and paid for by the use of a simple national insurance sliding scale, paid for from a percentage of one's income. You can check out how such systems work by using the web to visit Countries which operate such progressive healthcare systems for the benefit of its own citizens.
Some of these Countries are surprisingly conservative in their makeup.
