Festival fans were contending with muddy mayhem at Glastonbury after torrential downpours turned the 900-acre site into a quagmire.Every inch of Worthy Farm has become a mud bath as early arrivals gear up for the beginning of the main event today.

Even at my age it would be a hell of a good time to be there if I possibly could, just to know I was at Woodstock and Glastonbury, aho.

Unfortunate, but Worthy Farm provides a bit of a natural amphitheatre, which makes it a great site for a festival, but it captures the rain and there's a lot of clay in the soil. When it's wet, it's wet.

But it's always fun!

Thanks Nancy, watching on TV, I was struck with two things; first, I have to go to glastonbury someday, and Coldplay is a hugely fun and talented band, much better live than in studio.

This is disgusting. Glastonbury is a sacred sight and Midsummer is a sacred time no matter where. I have no problem with celebrating and certainly Midsummer isn't known to be a decorous celebration but this is far past what should be happening.

Certainly they wouldn't be doing this in St. Paul's Cathedral. Go play please just not at Glastonbury or Avebury or other religious site.
