Coffee grounds are better than gold in the garden. One Australian man got fed up with all the wasted grounds and started up a movement to get them back into the soil.

I've been saving my coffee grounds and then scattering them throughout the soil in the container garden.

Coffee grounds are great for the compost

We have a good sized yard and compost pile(s) but very little lawn- nice to know that our cofee grounds can provide some of the nitrogen in our compost more traditionally given by grass clippings.

I have been trying to save coffee grounds for my garden---I learned about this a few years ago. I drink A LOT of coffee too, so I should be able to support my own habit! hahaha! I would be moved to ask, however, the grounds that end up in the landfill---wouldn't they stlil break down on their own and go into the soil?
