do not know how much we can trust this report and the journal that published the report, something that has still to be investigated

Every temple & monastery i have visited claims to have Buddha relics!
Will we ever know, is there any scientific way to test??

Thanx Roger

As always, perhaps in the end, the truth of a relic's origins is less important than what it means to people!

There are so many "splinters from the Cross", venerated & kept in precious containers, that one could build a fleet of ships from them!
What we DO know in most cases is that the item is at least XXX years old - hundreds, even one thousand or more - because we know when the relic was placed in the container, installed in a temple or church ... Which tells us much about the values & faith of the people at that time. And over the time since, relics have been attributed power of different kinds. At the least, this indicates the power of faith ... whatever the origin of the relic!

Interesting, thanks Roger!

Do you actually "keep" something in the Buddhist funeral way?
Hm...
