Electronic Mail (E-Mail) may be the most popular use of the Internet today. It allows people to send written messages, files, and pictures to other people, anywhere in the world. All you need is a Care2 account and access to the Internet in order to receive messages. E-Mail messages are transferred over the Internet to the recipient's E-Mail address, as specified by the originator of the message.

Do I need any special software?

Your Care2 E-Mail account is compatible with most browsers. We recommend using Netscape 3.0 or higher. Internet Explorer users will have difficulty uploading attachments in versions prior to 4.0, though there are patches available for some version of IE3. AOL members using earlier verions of the AOL software may experience difficulties and should insure that they are using the latest available version for their platforms.

Is my Care2 account really free?

Yes! We make our money from the banner advertisements you see at the top of the page, not from charging you. We NEVER sell our mailing lists. Your privacy is our priority. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

How does this help save Wildlife?

Just like our E-Cards service, we use the revenues generated through the banner advertisements you see at the top of most pages to send donations to wildlife and environmental non-profit organizations.

How secure is my E-Mail at Care2?

Very secure. The only way your Care2 E-mail messages can be accessed are with your secret password. It is very important you do not give this information to anyone. If you log into your Care2 account from a public terminal, make certain you log-out when you are finished. You can change your password at any time through your My Care2 page.

How much storage space comes with my account?

At this time, your Care2 E-mail account can store up to 6 megabytes of data.
